has anybody have a problem with a low brake pedal. there's new pads and I bleed the system. every time I stop have pump the pedal.if not the the pedal goes low. this was happening when I bought the truck a year ago.
Did you perform the ABS Module Bleed and then move to the Calipers?
LF - RF - LR - RR

You either have air still in the system or a bad master cylinder.

Don't let it bother you, takes awhile to get acclimated to the push back around here on certain topics, instead of just scrolling past they will just drop in for a snarky comment. Most topics are well covered here somewhere, use the search function first to get the info, and if you can't find it by all means ask. And welcome to the forum.
To add to this great advice, I find the in-forum search to be abysmal. It's not like a Google search and doesn't combine the words for the results. =(

So if I search for mushy brakes, in the forum, it'll likely get results that talk about "What did you feed your Ranger?" Mushy Peas! or lots of brake upgrade posts ...

I know of two ways to do a better search.

1) So I usually do this in google, I put in my terms and then site:ranger5g.com

2) The same is accomplished in the forum search IF you use the google button, and it'll do a real google search and fix your typos (I wrote breaks here):

Welcome to the forum and some of us (not me) make many silly posts, those folks are bozos - but ya gotta love em all!).

TADT: They All Do That. The truck was designed in Australia and apparently the correct spec is brake feel that acts like the master cylinder needs a rebuild. ?‍♂
Dont think thats true. Properly bled it will feel normal. You do need forscan to activate the bleed protocol in the abs pump/box/whatever it is.

You’re not alone Ken. I have no issues with the brake pedal feel of the Ranger - maybe my previous Rangers were similar - not sure. However, many members here have mentioned the soft pedal feel. Some have bled the brakes in the usual manner and we’re happy - others did it using Forscan and were happy. Others have tried both and still aren’t happy. ?‍♂

Special note to @AzScorpion for moving this thread while I was in the middle of replying.
Ahhh Grasshopper, you need to learn to type faster. ?

I understand that it can be remedied; didn't know about the Forscan part. I was just saying that whoever signed off on the 5G Ranger design wanted mushy brakes as delivered.

Yeah, but you;re braking upside down, not sure how that changes it. Plus the toilets spin the wrong way. =(

Plus everything is trying to kill you, so mushy brakes might be a blessing! =p

I tried the Forscan brake bleed early on. It helped but only temporarily. After a few more thousand miles the dealer bled the brakes under warranty, much better. More recently I had the brake fluid replaced. That helped even more. Then during the recent snow I deliberately slammed the brakes a couple of times to engage anti-lock. Right now the brakes feel pretty good, and on the original pads.
