After owning the Ranger for about 2 years, I am interested in giving her a little more power. I am curious what the best tuning option really is. Keep in mind it has 85,000 miles, so one of the most important things is keeping some reliability. I'm not interested in the most power; I just want more than stock. Ever since putting a 3-inch lift with 33s, the truck has slightly slowed down. I might go up to a 34, and I know that would slow it down as well. And possibly the most important thing is that it can be tuned back to stock.

I have the Unleashed Tune and it's awesome. Torre is the main man there and will tweak the tunes to each persons needs. Great customer service too!

I have been running the Livernois tune for 84,000 miles with zero issues. There are several good tuners from what I’ve read on the forum over the years. The reason I went with Livernois over the others is they were on sale at the time lol. I highly recommend a tune.

When I had my Ranger I went with livernois. I ran their Tow Tune and didn't have any problems. Instead of focusing on max power, they focus on max efficiency. You still get a nice power bump and are able to move pretty quick

I'm happy with Ford Performance Tune and my PedalMonster from Banks Power.

are you talking about Livernoise in general or the tow tune specifically when you say they’re focusing more so on efficiency? I’m on the fence of who to use for tuning as well.

I'm talking about the Livernoise Tow Tune specifically. When Livernoise developed the Tow Tune over the Performance Tune, the focus was on Efficiency over Max Power.

Just took a ride with my neighbor who has a 23 F150 with Livernois tune. The shifting strategy was amazing.

I love the sound of a shift strategy, as my Ranger needs a shift strategy for sure.
I’ll bet most tunes come with a shift strategy.
Personally I lean towards Livernoise as most all people seem to love the power increase and shifting strategy.
I agree with Frenchy on max efficiency over maximum power.
…In time.
