I've tried to order some things online with my ford pass points, and can't do it. Is there something I am missing? I tried several dealerships and ordering online, no one gives the option of paying with reward points.
Jeff, I got my windows tinted and a dash cover with FordPass rewards and I did it in person at my Dealer. They had to confirm that each item was eligible for rewards. You might be able to order FordPass items through your Dealer's website.

You can't use them for online purchases they can only be used at the dealer. The problem is a lot of dealers still have no clue how to do this. You just order from the parts dept and once it comes in bring it to the cashier and give them your email attached to your Ford account and they deduct the points from there.

My parts department has to bill the parts to service, then the service department can charge me and my points.

I've only used mine for accessories so far, I bought my damper and battery maintainer with my points. I was lucky as both times I only had to call them to place the order then when it arrived they called me and I picked them up from parts and over to the cashier.

I did the same with my dash cover. However, the windows were tinted by a non-Ford employee who does tinting for the dealership. Fortunately, they accepted this under the rewards program billing him back for the job :)

Sounds like your dealership knows the program.

When I tried mine the parts counter guy grimaced as I said Ford Pass. After checking with his superior in the back he presented the work around to bill it to service and have them check me out.

While it would have been ideal if they could do it themselves, it worked. Just throwing it out there as an option for members to suggest if presented with a befuddled parts guy.

I could see if this were a new system but it's been out for years now. I had it back when I bought my 2013 F150 so there's no excuse for dealerships not knowing how to use the FPP. I mean it's not rocket science just take the customers email attached to their Ford Pass account and deduct the points from there. Each point is worth 0.005 so if the item is say $20.00 just divide that and deduct 4,000 points from their account. :headbang:

The parts dept here can't take FORDPASS points directly. They bill the accessories to the service department, in turn the service department creates a RO (repair order). the service dept has no issues finding or using my points.

When I used my points on the swing out tool box I had to take the order from the parts counter to the service desk an have them process the points.

Hi Folks,

Best bang for me was the Bak X4 Revolver tonneau cover and the Ford AMP bed extender.
