3 years/80,500 miles, day before a hurricane... It died. Lol.

Went to remote start it this morning and nothing happened. I knew what I was in for at that moment. Jumped it and drove it to my Dr appointment and in the office I sent a chat message to AAA. They came to me and replaced the battery, in the rain, for $266 plus 3% for using my card. So $270 otd. Beats going to the parts store and paying $280.

The app never sent me a notification that my battery was bad/low and the battery light on the dash never came on. It never came on after the battery swap. So I'm assuming I don't have to reset the bms.

Overall I'm happy with how long it lasted. With my work I'm turning it on and off multiple times a day. Mix of short and long trips. I am tuned so the stop/start is not active.

Yup, expected life of these batteries. Not bad.

My understanding of the reset of the BMS basically tells the BMS that the battery is new (it has a date it was installed) so it alters how the BMS maintains the battery.

Modern vehicles are a lot harder on batteries than they used to be and I learned years ago that it is difficult to know your battery is ready to be replaced without using a tester. In the "old days" the starter would just get slower and slower as the battery got worse - today's starters will keep working - until they don't.

Seems you got decent life out of yours.

Mine died a couple weeks ago on my birthday when I went to leave work lol. No warning at all. Thankfully I carry a small jump box. Walmart was 188.03 OTD incase anyone else is in our situation in the near future. Hopefully I did the BMS reset correctly.

Yes Walmart and Sam's were cheaper but I didn't have time to go there. Tomorrow hurricane Francine is expected to land and it's crazy right now. Id be in line all day for something like that.
