I can toggle it off on my 4” screen…

I can also toggle from regular view to close up on the hitch receiver…

I would think the same is available with a tech pkg.
How'd you make that lady disappear?

I've got an XL and don't have BLIS or parking sensors (LOL, I also have the munchkin center screen). No little truck icon on those.

I also have the small screen, David. It’s likely not there on yours because you don’t have the parking sensors. We don’t need that feature here in Canada anyway because we always shoulder check…

I really never noticed this until this thread. lol So today I tried touching it (short and long presses) and it doesn't do a thing. But thanks to this thread I know see it every time I put it in reverse now.
Don't you hate when that happens?

You likely have to have rear parking sensors for this. Also, it defaults to normal after exiting reverse.

So... does the lady come back after it defaults to normal?

No, I don’t think she’ll re-appear - she’s caught up on the driver’s side upper shock mount.

I also tried it.....good news/bad news. The + button does take it away. But comes back each time you put it in reverse. Still..... better than nothing. Thanks!
After checking closer ......the plus button takes the image of the vehicle away, BUT....it zooms in for trailer connecting most likely. So that mode does not give you the wide angle view when backing out of an angle parking space. So.....back to square one. Will have to try with Forscan......

I've never noticed this either and I'll have to check mine (for the image) when we go out later today. I don't use my rear camera much as I always use my side mirrors. The only time I use my rear camera is when the sensors start beeping and I look to see how close I'm getting to the object.
Yep. Mirrors.

Same here. Then add no power steering in some of my older cars and it was a real challenge backing into tight spaces. lol
And no power brakes.

Three on tree when I started!
I always enjoyed driving a pickup with 3 on the tree! Not sure why. Liked stick shifts of course. First car was a 4 speed. But always loved a pickup with 3 on the tree.

Wow... memories. If I had money to burn I would love to have a restored pickup from some point in the mid to late 60's with 3 on the tree.

Living in a big city I use these sensors all too much and can tell you that if there does actually happen to be a vehicle or person (or any object, really,) occupying that space, then the sensors on that side of the truck will light up on that diagram and you will hear a soft-tone alarm that dings very rapidly. It's a unique alarm to that system so you will not confuse it with any other alert.

Not trying to be dismissive of your issue but wanted you to know the system does work quite well. I've never had a failure and my truck is not always clean.

I agree with you that it works, however as I mentioned we have angle parking. If there is a vehicle beside you and you can't see if traffic is approaching down the street, that is where the image is in the way, if you try to see what is approaching. Once they are close enough, yes the alarm works fine, but by that time you are in their way if you pull out. I just need to be able to see the line of sight right where the vehicle image is.....
