I got tagged on the L/R corner of the bumper. It pushed it far enough in to just contact the sheet metal. What I didn't notice immediately was it actually bowed the box side out over the rear wheel well. A new box side and bumper extension later......over $6000 in damage. They definitely seem to...
I agree with you that it works, however as I mentioned we have angle parking. If there is a vehicle beside you and you can't see if traffic is approaching down the street, that is where the image is in the way, if you try to see what is approaching. Once they are close enough, yes the alarm...
After checking closer ......the plus button takes the image of the vehicle away, BUT....it zooms in for trailer connecting most likely. So that mode does not give you the wide angle view when backing out of an angle parking space. So.....back to square one. Will have to try with Forscan......
I also tried it.....good news/bad news. The + button does take it away. But comes back each time you put it in reverse. Still..... better than nothing. Thanks!
Cell phone cameras often flip the image depending on whether you are using the front or rear camera on the phone. However, the image I posted is correct as far as direction I was backing and the placement of the images. If I flip it so the text is correct the image shows I am pulling out in the...

Haven't done any really hard pulling, but no reason to think it would not hold up. I mounted using 2 bolts, so not sure why anyone would just use the one......
Did you ever get lucky! I had a very similar oops, a power pole jumped out behind me and I backed into it in the same spot. For some reason, the usually very sensitive backup alert did not make a sound, as it usually squawks if a blade of grass moves. In my case the bumper corner caved in just...
Here are a couple more pics.....
One looking straight down in line with the tailgate and one taken level with it from the rear. The is ample room to get a hook or strap on it. Hope that helps.....
I had a pair of old front tow hooks I took off an F150 when I put a bull bar on it. Got looking at them a while ago and thought maybe they could be adapted as rear tow hooks on the Ranger. Turns out it is a very easy mod and install. I believe these are the same on all F150's from 2009-2019.
I...
