Hey Guys, Heading down this path, especially since Wolfbox has 3 cameras now.

I see a lot of info on the mounts, just not the wiring connection. How did you connect wiring?

Any pics or suggestions. Didn't see any on the site either. and if the WolfBox is powered by USB, where does the OEM connector go?

Thanks,
jason
If you have (Auto-Dim) Mirror, then just the Dongar Adaptor is needed.
It is a T-Harness that will tap off of the (OE) connector and give you a connection to reconnect to the (Mirror) and a (USB) connection for the (Dashcam)

If you do (NOT) have the (Auto-Dim) mirror, then you will need to get a short (Factory Harness) that will supply (include) the (Auto-Dimming) mirror connector (PLUS) the Dongar Adaptor.

As stated above - this connection is (Switched Power) so if you want/need the activation of the cam (parking-recording) you will need to fuse tap the (BCM-Fuse Box)

If needed the Factory (Short Harness) = Output from C919 and feeds all connections behind the mirror (If you do not currently have a (Auto-Dim) mirror connector on the harness.

Thanks!

The mirror is off. Yep, a dimming mirror. It was easier than the plastic bits that cover everything.

I am in the process of taking out my Blackvue and setting up my Lightforce panel with multi-switches. So that lends to installing the Wolfbox at the same time. I wired my Blackvue Camera to be powered off a circuit that shut off after 445-50 minutes, so I want to figure out what the Wolfbox does when the truck is not on.

Complaints from the wife about not seeing out the rear view mirror, due to hanging attics and racks on the bed, make for a much easier conversation about upgrades. ;)

Is the Donger adapter all the wiring that you need besides a USB A to C cable?

Just remember that the forward camera on the Wolfbox will be partially blocked on the right side by the inside cover of the OEM forward camera/rain sensor cover:

Ok so the camera is on a (Slider) and the only way to get (Full View) would be to modify the slider to allow it to move farther (Left) - but then it will be (blocking) Line of Sight View even more that is already does (To a small Degree)
Correct?

That would truly annoy me, but I do like the Live View capability within the mirror vs other options where you have to download and view what was recorded.

The forward camera on my G900 is fixed, so I was exploring the idea of simply extending it forward, closer to the windshield. I'm hesitant to pop mine open though, potentially destroying it, just to see if it's doable. If I find a used one for half price I'll probably go for it.

If you use the #33 mount on the mirror to replace the OEM mirror (I have the self dimming one) do you need any other pieces like the wolf box OEM mount or something or is it just the bracket and what comes with the Wolfbox?

I recomend NOT doing what I did. I was trying to save a couple bucks and that #33 mount is just not satisfactory. It requires cutting-up the plastic the trim piece above the mirror, and it just doesn't sit right.

You're better off doing what mokupilot did, and that's what I'm going to do:

Thanks good to know. I wonder if you could just use the mirror in the truck. I have a service body on my truck and the mirror will never be useful unless someone was going to remove the service Body and put a bed back on which I really can't imagine happening.

Don't forget, the Wolfbox has a remote mounted rear facing camera. I mounted one on top of my bed mounted carrier because the carrier completely blocks the rear window. When I'm not using the carrier, I switch over to the camera mounted in front of my third brake light.

Since I have a non-removable thing completely blocking the rear view mirror that's not a thing for me, I just use the wolf box camera mounted at the back. I purchased a used mirror for my truck for $30 from flea-bay and will tear that apart to get its' mount. I'm reasonably convinced I can do something with that.

Wolfbox also makes a dash mount that might work out better for you. Here's a couple of sources:
