I have a 2019 XLT 300a trim level. It did not come with an auto rearview mirror. Has anyone installed reputable brand one? I have a tinted rear window - but this time of year I leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark.

Thank you

So, you are just wanting - Auto-Dim Mirror?

I believe trim level 300A has the Rear Cam (displayed) on the center 4 in screen -(Correct)?
So, all you need is to convert a manual mirror over to the Auto-Dim - (Correct)?

You can get the OEM Auto-Dim mirror and a short harness to get power to it, and we would have to research what As-Built data files that would need changed to make it operational.
The harness will adapt off of C919, as so far it appears all the needed wiring is already run to the (Input) side of C919, and the harness (Output) depends on available truck options installed.

If you venture off into aftermarket, you will run into mounting issues that must be modified to get it mounted to the OEM mount point on the windshield.
There are some threads about this on the forum - Search

Harness:
PN: KB3Z-14A411-D (With - Rain Sensing Wipers)
PN: KB3Z-14A411-C (W/O Rain Sensing Wipers)
If you do not have rain sensing wipers either one will work, just an extra connector for the harness.

Awesome! I have the following:
4" display screen radio
Sync 3

Do you have the OEM Part numbers? I don't have the rain sensing wipers?

Thats the one thing I miss about my old truck was the auto dim mirror.
I have an XL so I figured the harness is different. Used to be if you had an XLT or higher trim line the harness was the same but in the lower trim they had different (cheaper) harness.
Don't know if this line of thinking is still true or not.

Is that all of the OE Part numbers?

So, there are other part numbers for this harness - The (-) number will change.
and it depends on what options are available.
Your Harness will not have anything for the mirror.
Then if you have the (Rear Cam / Mirror) combo where the Rear Cam is displayed (within) the mirror vs the center screen then the harness will have a (5-Wire) mirror connector vs the (3-Wire) to add the video feed (+ / -)

The (Key) important factor is to verify that the (INPUT) of C919 has the Power Feed for (Auto-Dim)
So far lower trim levels have shown that the wires are there and just (Terminates) at that junction of the (Harness-Split) - This is where you can just add the proper (Harness) to extend that terminated connection over to the mirror.

Edit: 2/1/25
I made a correction here for the Pinout #'s
C919 - Input
Cavities - Need to have the wires:
Cavity #2. - Power - (Fuse-36)
Cavity #13 - Ground
Cavity #3 - Reverse Signal (Input)

Auto Dimming: Mirrors
The higher priced mirror is the (Rear View Camera / Mirror) Combo - Hence the Price for it.
This is where the Rear Cam Displays withing the mirror instead of (Sync) screen so the (non-sync) version:

You want the ($146.98) mirror
You can pick these up on Ebay fairly cheap, just ensure it is the (3-Wire) connector and not the (5-Wire) connector - the 5-Wire is for the expensive mirror.
Do not get caught up in the (nomenclature) of the description as Rain Sensing appears to be included in most of those, Rain Sensing has no effect on the mirror itself, the only factor is the harness (includes) that connector or it comes without it.

I need to dig to be sure, but it appears that there is no (As-Built) settings for this, so as long as you have the wiring going into the C919 connector then all you need is the harness and the mirror.
The mirror assembly (itself) has the sensors (light intensity) to perform its features. The reason for the (Reverse) Signal on these is to let the mirror (Disable) the dimming feature when in reverse.

Thanks, for the great info. Now I just need the time to check and see if the wires are there and power. Been busy and probably going to stay busy for the next month.
