  1. OEM Rearview Mirror Attachment...

A couple of questions was your OEM mirror the auto dimming one with the other stuff in it, or the plain one? Did you remove the arm from your original mirror and put It on the wolf box if so how, and which part did you use to adapt it? I've got a spare OEM mirror I found on eBay and wanted to...
  2. Auto-dimming mirror removal?

That’s nice to know about id really like it just in the regular position and ideally remove the factory mirror so it sits just a touch further forward (further away from driver)
  3. Auto-dimming mirror removal?

Since I have a non-removable thing completely blocking the rear view mirror that's not a thing for me, I just use the wolf box camera mounted at the back. I purchased a used mirror for my truck for $30 from flea-bay and will tear that apart to get its' mount. I'm reasonably convinced I can do...
  4. Auto-dimming mirror removal?

Thanks good to know. I wonder if you could just use the mirror in the truck. I have a service body on my truck and the mirror will never be useful unless someone was going to remove the service Body and put a bed back on which I really can't imagine happening.
  5. Auto-dimming mirror removal?

If you use the #33 mount on the mirror to replace the OEM mirror (I have the self dimming one) do you need any other pieces like the wolf box OEM mount or something or is it just the bracket and what comes with the Wolfbox?
  6. Observations From a Trip Towing.....

@Grumpaw what sort of shocks did you end up putting in? I have a 4x4 Lariat with a service body instead of the bed. The service body weighs a bit more than the bed did (perhaps 200lbs, although unfortunately I don't actually know how much) and I occasionally tow a car trailer as well. I have...
  7. Wiring in an indicator for toolbox doors

Thank you, I used some amazon actuators for the locks on the body, and I used this relay to make sure I wasn't overpowering the lock signals going to the tailgate harness with the 8 new actuators. Amazon.com: Forward and Reverse Relay Module for Motor/Linear Actuator, Reversing Relay Module...
  8. Wiring in an indicator for toolbox doors

Where did you find the hood sensor? I've been staring under the hood with a flashlight for 20 minutes and I'm embarrassed to say I can not locate anything that looks like a sensor for that, given how prominent that is on the dashboard that would be ideal.
  9. Wiring in an indicator for toolbox doors

See my post above with link to the thread that shows the body. Thank you for the post, I had the body builders handbook from the build (sort of obvious) so I had already looked there. I'm going to look at wiring into the hood switch, otherwise I can of course always install an LED somewhere in...

  11. Wiring in an indicator for toolbox doors

Ah, yeah sorry, maybe should've been more clear, I'm not sure where to attach those too to make them light up, was wondering if anyone had figured out the colour of the wire in the harness to tap into to make it work.
  12. Wiring in an indicator for toolbox doors

I have a custom service body on my ranger and it’s impossible to see if the doors are open in the mirrors when you’re in the truck, there are three one on the back, and one each side, I live in fear of not realizing ones been left open and driving the truck away. Has anyone figured out how to...
  13. Looking for a part number

Thank you Benny that's awesome, I thiink the link you've given might be incorrect though, it highlights a part #9 and I think I'm looking for #5 is that correct? Trying to figure out how to click that and get the part number to order.
  14. Genuine Ford Parts, Accessories & Ford Performance

Hi Benny, I'm trying to locate a part I'm trying to find a part number for a piece that's been removed from my truck and am having very little luck. I believe it to be a vent hose for the emissions canister, and unfortunately the post with the shop manuals for that the manuals are 0 length PDFs...
  15. Curt wireless brake controller

I really recommend against using the curt controller for all reasons listed, but understand if you're only occasionally towing you might be okay. You can check the plug with a volt meter, can't recall on the ranger, but on our F150 I had previously the trailer plug power wasn't there until I...
  16. Looking for a part number

I'm trying to find a part number for a piece that's been removed from my truck and am having very little luck. I believe it to be a vent hose for the emissions canister, and unfortunately the post with the shop manuals for that the manuals are 0 length PDFs :( The part I need attaches to a...

  18. 2019 Ranger Technical Shop Manuals

Can anyone provide a diagram of the fuel tank and it's vent and filler hose? I have a custom service body on my ranger and something isn't right with those pieces as it's impossible to fill the tank right at anything more than a trickle. The lines are not kinked and they've got it vented up to...

  20. Under hood location of an ignition switched connection

I’m trying to locate an under hood ignition switched source to tap into. The compressor for the airbags wants to be wired through a fuse tot he battery but also has a switched lead so it only runs when the power is on. I can’t seem to figure out something I could use for the purpose, and...
