Nice, we may go up to the cabin today since the light pollution in the city made it really hard to see.

Went out at midnight after storms went through. Got to see some but light pollution in the city made then hard to see.

Down in Kansas, couldn’t see a ton with the naked eye, but some long exposures did the trick.

Wife and I jumped in the Ranger around 11:30pm and drove up to the lake after not seeing anything from the back yard. Stopped at 3 different spots and all were full of people. Pictures were more impressive than with the eye. Night mode on camera picks up much more color due to long exposure.
Wife said it was much more visible with the naked eye back around 2005.
We considered a road trip tonight to go further north but the weather forcast wasn't the best and decided to try around home again. As it was, it ended up cloudy with a little rain at home.

I'm also convinced not many people know how to turn off thier headlights and drive with parking lights. All you people guilty of that go and RTFM right now for the benefit of those of us trying to look at things in the dark. :like:

Love having a big body of water to go to where nothing blocks the horizon, city lights at your back, and watch sunsets, storms, shooting stars and auroras.
