Hi all, I have an opportunity to grab a set of aftermarket rims and tires that were on a Bronco Big Bend. I noticed that the offset stamped on the rims is ET15. Which means that I would be switching from a 55mm offset from the factory wheels on my 2019 Ranger FX4.

I have read all kinds of posts that 40mm is too much. I will be have bearing issues sooner or later. Anybody running something like this??

I have 15 offset on my truck and 12 on the wife’s. No problems. Where you’ll run into issues with offset wheels is trying to fit tires that are too tall or wide for the truck if it’s not leveled/lifted.

My wife’s ranger is leveled with 265/70/17 tires. That’s the max you can go without rubbing the crash bars. I have a 3.5” lift on my truck with 255/80/17 (33”) tires. Could’ve gone a little wider but I stuck with 255 width because I didn’t want to push it. Plus skinnier tires do better in snow and ice. Still had to remove crash bars to avoid rubbing at full steering lock.

@ScarzRanger21(2.0) so the tires on the aftermarket rims are 255/70/18. According to the calcs, these aftermarket rims would sit 40mm further out than the OEM ones. At 255 the tires are slightly slimmer. It sounds like you saying the tires are too big and I may have some rubbing?? My truck has the levelling plate on the front struts.

They should fit, slight chance of rubbing at full steering lock if you hit a bump while turning. My wife’s tires have about 1/2” of clearance from the front crash bars when tires are fully turned.

The tires & wheels you’re talking about switching to should have roughly the same clearance when comparing. 255/70/18 to 265/70/17 is about 3/8” narrower and less than 1/4” taller from wheel edge to face of tread. The difference in wheel offset is about 1/8” more on your setup.

Every truck has minor differences in tolerances when they’re built. Judging by the fitment on my wife’s truck, the setup you’re looking at should work. Worst case, you might have to trim the plastic liners on the crash bars, loosen the bolts, and knock them forward a bit.
