You might have came the same conclusion that I did.
In the picture, it's attached to the exhaust. On another web site it, even the description wasn't clear, except for the heavy looking iron. I can't find that other web site at the moment, but It had reasonably good things to say. Nothing I thought was 'WOW you need one of these', but had good things to say.

I searched the web a few months ago. Found a few reviews but they were all for imports. They had good things to say but wasn't relevant to the ranger. I have seriously considered this. I've also considered the work turbo upgrade just not enough reviews to light the fire For me. This thread has gotten more traction than the one I started a few months ago. Maybe we can get more info.

I have the work turbo upgrade and love it, compressor wheel is 52mm vs 46mm stock, I am at a point in my build where I want to try a larger turbo with bigger exhaust wheel so I can get a little more useable rpm and push it out to 6200

My understanding is a larger exhaust vane will increase lag.

I have no personal experience with Pure Turbos products, but they are well-known and very well regarded in the Nissan/Infiniti tuning crowd. Lots of people run their "Pure Stage 2" upgraded turbos on the VR30 (Q50, Q60, 400Z) and the VR38 (GTR) platforms.

I can't speak to their customer service or apparent lack thereof if you haven't received a response yet.
