If they’re made out of aluminum a new carbide circular saw blade on a chop saw will give you nice clean square cuts. Just let the blade cut with minimal pressure. Clamp if you can. If steel different approach entirely

was kind of thinking about that too
With way, need to get a new blade for the chop saw

I have some background in metal work matching in the family machine shop several years.

Get blade wax too! Just a little bit keeps the aluminum from sticking to the carbide. As they say, a little goes a log ways.

im thinking that stepping on the end towards the bed would not support the weight properly - and potentially bend.
I’ll be getting a new blade or 2 tomorrow and follow the directions
Because why? It's designed to handle the weight for folks that have a SuperCrew.

That would have been awesome for reaching the front bed tie downs from outside the truck. I'm guessing they want it trimmed because they are worried about the bed moving independent of the cab? But based on member photo's here on Ranger5g.... that's not an issue.

So how do they look from a distance? Do the brackets hang down and are visible?

I’m so glad you went that route - I use my DeWALT mitre saw on aluminum deck railings, etc. with a blade designed for fine finishing work - 96 teeth, I think. I was about to suggest you use this method and then I saw this photo - nice!

I know just how you were feeling as you lowered the blade, started making that first cut and the saw DID NOT kick back. The first time I tried it, I went from nervousness to relief, surprise, and then, absolute glee. Good job - it looks like BobCanBuildIt too! ???‍♂?

I added it during the install. I use it when going threw certain car washes, or when I want to clean them manually at home. Nice feature.

I installed a set of powersteps on my 2019 Ranger and I want to add the override switch. But I am am confused as to which switch kit to get. Do I just need the basic switch/wiring harness kit?
I have emailed Amp Reserach asking this question with no reply.

I ordered my powersteps from Electric Step, and included the override switch with my order. They sent the switch with model number 79106-01A, which worked perfectly with my steps. My steps were model number 76136-01A, which I believe is the only option available for the Ranger. Mine's also a '19.
Good luck!
