Kind of figured.
Presently I have the front strap and the tank skid plate. The rear strap is on order. Hopefully in the next 2 to 3 weeks I’ll be able to get it mounted finally.
I will have to keep an eye out for some flanged locknuts. I may have to resort to McMaster Carr. Or maybe Fastenal...
this is the front bracket
KB3Z-9054-B
I am unable to locate the rear bracket.
I think maybe I have found it.... going to order and let ya know....
Presently, I'm looking for the OEM Nuts...
I know i can go to LOWE's and get nuts & washers.... and they would work... but I want...
So I finally got around to attempting to install my skid plate.
I wish I had looked sooner.
Now, I am looking for the gas tank straps/mounts.... they have mounting studs attached to them. Also assuming I'll need the nuts too....
Hope you can help or direct to me to a link...
Thanks
A few months ago, I bought a fx gas tank skid plate. Today I went to install it.
I found that was not going be an easy install
Hoping to go to Lowe’s tomorrow
Buy bolts
Support the tank and drop the bolt from the top.
Hoping there will be room to the head of the bolts. Fingers...
I’m pretty blessed
My wife said.... order what you want.
Her ONLY requirement was.... it needs to look good.
She blessed the bigger tires
But of course... With tires - I needed 2” leveling, spacers, fender flares, steps.
She hated the stock air damn. So went with the FX skid plate...

By chance you couldn't help me track down some replacement oval knock outs that are located in the bed. I damaged mine when I was drilling out the hole for drains for my bed cover....
Just my .02 worth
I went with a bolt on spacer. 1.5” doesn’t require shorter studs.
1” bolt on spacers require either trimming/grinding the oem wheel studs.
The spacer you are referring to are a washer.
I’ll stick with my 1.5”
Like the stance it gives my truck.
My wife told me the tires were too small on my truck. I need to remedy that. I told her it wasn’t that simple, I probably need spacers and to change out the crash bars and obviously a leveling kit. She said I already told you the tires are too small they need to be replaced. So I replace them as...
Here is my take on what fits...
2020 xlt sport
Falken Wildpeak 285/70r17
ReadyLift High-Clearance Intrusion Beams
FactionFab 6x139.7mm 1.50" Forged Aluminum Wheel Spacers
RC 2” spacer/leveler
Thanks to my patient buddy - Chris, that installed my tires today.
1st let me say....
On stock...
This basically my story too
Toyota was top of my list (a least online). Then I went to the local dealer and got ignored.
Nissan left me cold too... the kid I talked to didn’t know anything about his products.
GM wasn’t an option - had one
FORD
Pretty much didn’t see them.
Went test...
Looking for the part number or where to look for the part number
I need to replace my knockouts (large oval) in the front of the bed... broke the tabs on one today and it won’t stay in.
Any assistance would be great.
