I'm sure right next to the shifter like the AU models we've seen pics of.Where do they think they are mounting that knob?
That's where the 4WD control knob is for those of us with 4WD.I'm sure right next to the shifter like the AU models we've seen pics of.

Here's the main redarc thread from Feb '19

1 minute on Google ImagesCorrect. Does anyone have and option/picture of another location for trucks with 4WD?
This is from Post 74 from the Redac Install thread that is stickied in Towing and referenced in the previous post.Correct. Does anyone have and option/picture of another location for trucks with 4WD?
ok, here's the other one. That's where the 4WD control knob is for those of us with 4WD.
PM'd you.I'll volunteer to install ANYONE's BRAKE CONTROLLER that comes to my house with a sixer, a factory towing package, and some crimp on butte splices.
It's literally the easiest install I've EVER DONE for a brake controller. Those that have shops telling them they cannot install should absolutely find a different shop.
I've driven probably 2K miles this year with my ranger hooked to some sort of brake controlled trailer, and I assure you it's as safe as any other vehicle...
The Redarc is a little harder because you have to pull some trim pieces, but whatever, offer still stands. I'd rather be mildly inconvenienced by some IPA than have you all driving around pulling trailers that have no brakes![]()
That is correct, sir. Thank you.Replied several times
Everything you need to know can be found at the end of those wires. IF they all behave properly, then you know it's not the connections to the truck. It could still be in the trailer, and/or the controller.
OK, got it. Traced it back to fuse #64. Blown fuse. All good now, once I figured out how to get into that power distribution box under the hood. Found the cause. Short in pigtail of brake controller plug. It'll all be fine, just gotta get it done.Replied several times

The hardest part? Was the dang power distribution box and it's two layers. Good grief. You need a glass eye on a crooked stick and four hands to get in there. Second worst job was having to replace the controller pigtail and re-do all that work I just did yesterday.!!! My ribs are sore from laying on my side fighting that teeny tiny wire in that cramped compartment. May I never need to get down in there again. LOLSee. I told you it was "easy". I blew the fuse on my jeep because for some reason the brake pedal had +12V and -12V on one wire, and +12V only on another. It was odd because I was only testing with the brake pressed I only saw the +12V everytime I plugged the controller in it would blow the fuse. Took me 3 days of scratching my head to check it for voltage when the brakes were not pushed...
