I purchased the dash replacement and there are vents under it. I'm still waiting to hear back from my local dealership about the install covered by FORD. This isn't good if there is a recall on this for how long it took them to put this out claiming to be the only one authorized by FORD.

I'm up for it, out of town this weekend but would in the future.

Talked to the dealership again today and was told this could take some time. They said the have to go through the proper channels starting with the Regional Rep whom isn't even in the PNW. I'll update new information when I receive any.

I haven't heard back yet from the dealership in contact with the regional FORD rep. I had been told that FORD may be installing this free if you have the tow package installed from manufacturing.

Same here, then too, my dealership said that if my truck came with the tow package, that FORD should be covering the cost to install this. Waiting to hear back for confirmation.

I'll be looking for the next trip, possibly in the change of the year. Getting a bunch of stuff done to the truck.

Did you have a tow screen come up in the display? When you connect, does it turn off the start/stop, Lane assist and adaptive cruise? I'm waiting for better weather to install mine.

I just received mine, the instructions to install do not use all of the pre-wires, just the Blue & Yellow. This interesting thing is that you have to run and tap into the high mount brake lamp. The set up uses a separate electronic box in use after the Redarc control box.

What wire did you connect to for the switch background light and did you simply unplug the PowerPoint and plug in the volt meter/USB charger?
