The BMS sensor is on the neg battery terminal. It is the only small cable that plugs into the sensor. that is on top of the battery on the negative terminalBUMP... Can anyone answer?
I think dtech is talking about "Load shedding" in the context of the battery being intentionally discharged to 75% capacity. If BMS is active and you charge the battery to 100%, the BMS will immediately discharge the battery down to 75% charge. This is extremely unhealthy for the battery.
Your truck will progressively start turning off power to different systems as the battery starts to weaken. The lower the State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC) the more systems are turned off.
You can purchase a battery tester that will report both.. The most inexpensive highly accurate tester is the Ancel BA101 at $34. Project Farm tested a large range of battery testers, and this was his pick.
