This thing is going to be a beast. Can't wait to see it completed. Your work looks amazing. Good luck. Oh wouldn't mind some fairlane pics too haha. I had a 63 500 sports coupe as my first car. Man I wished I still had it.

Your work has been absolutely impressive. Just wanted to throw in this link to a AUS ranger I saw where they did similar work with a slightly different approach. https://www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/custom-4x4s/sas-ford-ranger-custom
Hope this adds to the inspiration and your determination that this project is entirely possible and your on the right track to making probably the only SAS 5G ranger here in the US and probably 2 of 2 in the entire world!
Thanks for sharing that with me! Super impressive build.

Finally making some headway on the power steering for the Ranger. After several failed attempts at power steering solutions, I have finally come up with a viable option. Super powerful electric motor running a PSC power steering pump in to the Toyota IFS box assisted by a 6 5" stroke hydro assist ram. The electric motor is fully speed controlled by a speed controller from Midwest motion products. I will be able to speed up and slow down the ps pump depending on the type of driving in doing. Getting close to a maiden voyage!

I kept the overall frame length about the same, but pushed the rear axle back by using 64" Deaver springs made for desert racing. They were on the rear of my previous sas 2004 ranger and worked amazing on and off road.

Do you happen to know what deaver springs you're using part number? Like spring rates, load capacity and arch height.

They are 4" lift Chevy 63" springs. I can't remember the part number.
Thank you. This helps a lot. I'm considering doing that swap myself, but was going to use stock chevy leafs with longer shakles

Using the factory front spring perches, it moved the axle back about 8". If you relocate the front perch, you will gain lift as the frame begins to curve downward right in front of the stock perch.

Yea I measured the difference from mounting centers I would have to move the front mount 11 inches the rear I could actually move 2 inches forward to gain the 30 degree correct shakle angle. I love your build

You're doing a ton for the community with a sas swap and openness of the build. Thank you I must credit you for my initial thoughts of the swap.

Thank you! My first sas that I did, I used forums like this to plan the entire build from start to finish. Hopefully it will help a few along the way. Although with ifs technology, it might make more sense to go the long travel route for most people.
