I have the Retrax Power Pro XR.

If you have a remote to open / close the shutter ? I would try the spare remote first then change the battery in the one you normally use.

You can check the wiring / voltage at the connector at the shutter in the tub ? (if it's like the Retrax) with a multi-meter (if you or a friend has one) to see if you have 12 vdc. This will let you know if it's a wiring or shutter problem. Hopefully you don't have a critter problem. It more than likely has an in-line fuse you can check as well. You may want to contact the dealership to find out where it is located on your factory / dealership installed shutter.

I was told that it is not recommended for the Retrax to manually close it as it may damage it.

Not sure how old yours is, it may still be under warranty. Check with your dealership.

Hope this helps ?

After working overseas for some aviation contracts, sometimes other countries languages can be confused and misunderstood.
In India - Firecrackers (The Good Ones) can be purchased anywhere 24 x 7, now they call these (CRACKERS)
So, when the wife goes to get on a flight from Mumbai back to the states, to visit her mother the security screeners asks if any liquids in the carry-on luggage, she said no, just some crackers.
That reply was met and caused a HUGE issue, until it was understood that she was stating (the crackers you eat) not the ones that go - BOOM

BTW - Any wedding or funeral (any celebration) of any kind - In India they use Firecrackers and if I recall they have 41 Holidays a year or close to that number.

another one from Slovenia, Slosher = Toilette, it took me a minute to understand he had to take a break to go pee.

@Kristina Do you have any insight on a manual process of operating the rear bed shutter? I'm guessing you are the most likely person to know since you had one and this thread has derailed into a versions of the English language comparison.

Had it on my Wildtrak and got new one with Raptor. Not loving it on winter times when it gets frozen, so I have thought about replacing it with something simple if it’ll fail totally. I guess removing it won’t be very hard. No manual came with it but it can’t be rocket science. 2020 truck, I guess no warranty left and finally excuse to pick out something you really like

@nank35 what happened with power supply? Were there obstacles on a way while closing the roller shutter or something like that? Is the remote battery full/replaced and remote sending signal? Fuse ok? You probably have other model than I have, but maybe you can at least partly check the wire line. Everything else on your truck electrical side works, including trailer connectors?
