So I’ve own my Tremor Lariat for a couple months, and think it’s a great truck ACCEPT FOR ONE THING. The seat! I cannot find a comfortable seating position in this thing! I’m 5’10 190-200lbs, and I literally have a sore lower back if I’m in it for more than an hour drive.
Am I the only one?

please chime in on how anyone else out there had this same problem and fixed it.

I same height and weigh 170 and had same issue. Then WEEKS later low and behold I seen the lumbar handle. That worked for me. Crazy how you can miss things.

Funny how we all sit different. I'm same height as both of you and weight is in the middle and I find the seats quite comfortable. May just take some tweaking in how you have the seat set up until you find the sweet spot.

Luckily nobody else drives mine so I don't have to find my comfortable position again if somebody changes it.

It’s more of lumbar, combined with seat back angle and then getting the height right for leg position. Takes some playing around but the lumbar to max is a definite!

Funny now that I leveled my truck I needed the seat higher. Now I am comfortable.

If you have not already tried this, make some adjustments to the steering wheel position while you are fooling with seat adjustments. It can make a huge difference. If the wheel is too far away or too low, the weight of your arms pulls your shoulders forward. You can raise and lower the wheel, and also telescope it in or out. Set up the seat position so your legs are comfortable moving around on the pedals, and then set up the wheel so you are not leaning forward to reach the wheel. Set it up so it's far enough away and high enough so your elbows are not too close to your belly. I forget the exact method, but the locking lever is underneath the wheel. I hope this may help you out.

Somebody else in the thread also mentioned the lumbar adjustment. It's the big round knob on the left side of the driver seat. I have mine maxed out. I'm also 5'10", 190 lb.

My lumbar adjustment is on the right side of my Seat. So I didn't think I had one. Then one day doing a thorough leather wipe down is when I seen it.

Interesting, i honestly thought my tremor had some really comfy seats. Even on long (for me) 8hr drives never had any lower back pain and i had the support dialed back.
My raptor seats are a bit more supportive, but those give me some lower back discomfort over time which is interesting.

Will concur with above and say play with the seats more, that helped my pain in the raptor quite a lot.
Roughly same bw and height as you too.

Also, you might look at a set of Seat Jackers from Deseret Does It. They raise the front seat by 3/4 inch, which dosen't sound like much, but it changes the way the front of the seat bottom feels.
Before them my full powered Lariat seat was comfortable but my knees felt lower than my hips. After the install the seat feels like a recliner...much more comfortable seating position.

Slight correction for OP's Lariat power seats. It's the rear most button on the left side.

hmm, I wonder if Seat Jackers would help you? You're not short but their main purpose is to put the seat in more of a bucket seat position.

This is a bigger deal on Tacomas which don't seem to have as much leg support.

I'm not sure I'd completely recommend this as a solution, they are pricey, but a few others here have used them too.

Seat Jackers:

My post on them (XL seats):

I didn't post about my actual install. The trim caps were the challenging part for me, I've never worked with plastic trim. Once those were popped off, it was a 15-minute job. I used both and did both front seats. Kate likes it quite a bit and I never found the seats uncomfortable, but I can tell I can get a "deeper" bucket feel and more thigh support.

Grumpaw's posts for power seats:

This is the video that turned me on to these (it's on a Taco):

Dang it, I type way too slow! I started writing my post before ou Grumpaw and posted it 8 minutes after you!

So you still liking yours? I can't really tell but Kate does feel a difference on the passenger side (she also has a "lumbar" support in her Wet Okole seat cover that she says helps her out - she has a compressed vertebrae and has used a small pillow in other cars).

Love em....consider them to be one of the best additions I've made.
I'm only 5' 8" and 180 lbs, but I like to sit high . Before them my knees always felt lower than my hips/thighs. Now, as you've noted, feels like a recliner. Just that 3/4 inch makes a world of difference.

I have a crap back, the Tremor seats are pretty good for me, during the first month I did take small bits of blue tape and made some pointers. (manual seat) I used them to mark the positions of the seat so I could dial in the seat back angle, forward and back position, and the height, the lumbar I just counted the turns, finally got it just right, that way when the wife gets in and moves things I can get it right back to my setting.

She always says "my legs are longer" I inform her that her butt is bigger, therefore she has to move the seat back, not because her legs are longer

I have to say my '13 f150 was more comfortable. Don't know if it was because the bigger truck, bigger seats?
The ranger while I like it, I just cant get right in it. No arm rest, steering wheel is weird to position. The seats aren't too bad.
