Called dealer I purchased truck from and told him I want a 2 inch front level/lift. He recommended Readylift but their 2 inch level is not recommended for Tremors. Ford ranger lifts has a 2 inch for Tremors which looks like a great option. Anybody out there installed either of these lifts? Also, does $700 installed with balancing and headlight adjustment sound reasonable??

FRL has 1" and 2" for the Tremor.

Why balance the tires after installing a level?

An alignment should cost roughly $100, and I've never been impressed with a dealership alignment. The Readylift spacers are less than $200. That leaves about $400 for install. Seems pretty steep for what should take a tech on a lift no more than an hour. Headlights take literally 30 seconds to adjust.

I agree that it seemed a little high. I believed they indicated 3 hrs of shop time. It’s something I can’t do so not sure how many options I have in a small town.

For those that have installed the FRL kits, should they be half as big as I ordered? I ordered the 1” kit but what I got were only 1/2”…
Did you install yet? I’m going to measure before and after just to see what the difference is.

I’ve gotten quotes from two places that were both around 3 hours, but at $70/hr with alignment somewhere else for $80.

That sucks.

We have a few members in MN if I recall. You could post in the local section asking for help to DIY.

I’ve thought about that but I like that there will be no warranty issues with dealer install. I don’t mind paying a little something for peace of mind.

That’s a nice hourly rate. Think I’m at $100+

You installed the 1" kit but only got a 0.5" lift or your spacer is 0.5" in height? I have not ordered mine yet but it is common that on some suspension, the lift is not 1 to 1. So, 0.5" spacer could result in a 1" lift due to the angles and ratio of the arms and such.

My Honda Pilot was that way. Front was 1/1 so a 2" front spacer resulted in a 2" lift but the rear was a thinner spacer to get a larger height lift.
