Welcome to the club! I have had my Ranger for 7 days!! The A S.S. is a pain in the A.S.S. don't like it. Looking forward to many mods and years with this truck.
I went the route of modifying the setting with Forscan. If you’re at least a little tech oriented, that to me was the way to go.

Dave,
This is the closest light I could find that resembles the description in your picture. Maybe it is a later version. Want to make sure it is the right one before I get it.
Thanks.

Paul, those should work just fine. Actually any LED light will work you're just looking for something that draws just enough to kill the A/S/S. Here are the ones I bought, just make sure the light doesn't have the sensor on it.

I’ve gotten use to turning off the auto stop. I too have the issue with my foot hitting the duct work, also to the right of gas pedal is a small plastic piece that keeps popping off when my foot hits it.

Not sure these qualify as annoying although at some point they probably will:

1. No electric sliding rear window on the Lariat? Really?
2. Hybrid electric seat, where some of it is manual and some electric. Why not make it all electric in Lariat?
3. No memory seats. See #2
4. No heated steering wheel. Not huge annoyance but nice in the northland.

The Rigeline I just traded had all of the above. C'mon Ford!

Just kidding but sounds like my recliner. Wonder if we could just bolt that in and call it a day ?

I could see Ford releasing a "Limited" trim for the Rangers in the next generation as they are already releasing new Trims for the 5th generation.

2 going from gas pedal to brake pedal top of shoe gets kinda hung up on lower dash plastic
Anyone else notice these? Thanks
I don’t like how gas tank door comes open every time through car wash, other then that love my Stx Ranger

someone on here traded for a ridge line recently. For what I do, a ridge line would have been ideal, but for the towing capacity. What years was yours and why did you switch?

The Ridgeline (2018) had everything I needed for last 3yrs, then we went and bought a boat that's 6000lbs+. The RL towing capacity had 5000lbs, but they have a somewhat weak tranny. I didn't want to push it and I was kinda getting itchy to get into something else. Had a 150 before, so familiar with Ford. If it wasn't for the boat, I'd probably traded for another RL, but the Ranger engine has some balls. Really impressive even in stock form. I'm sure the things I'll miss in the RL will be gained in other areas by the Ranger.

I can agree with these. I pur them in the category of minor annoyances.

I hate it for a different reason.

I grew up building hotrods with my dad and going to car shows. I learned real quick you don't touch paint. Especially dirty paint.

Everytime I go to put gas in my truck I can feel micro particles of dirt etching my clear coat.

Makes me feel like I should wash the truck before every fill up.

Unplugging the wire on the negative batt terminal worked for me. Absolutely hated Auto-Stop! Such an easy fix. Not paying $100.00 for a auto stop eliminator to do the same thing.

Don't care for the garage door buttons on the sun visor either. They should be on the upper-center console like every other vehicle in the world. It's especially a pain when I come to pull in the garage and I have to flip the visor over to use the buttons. That's just dumb!

Also, for $42K, the dang thing should have auto-dimming mirrors for crying out loud! My 2SS Camaro had auto-dimming mirrors, and they were so nice.

Love my truck for sure, but nothing is perfect.

With you on the homelike buttons. Don't mind them on the visor, but there should be a mirror button setup on the other side.

Your rearview should auto dim.

Hey guys,

I seen this unplugging the wire fix on youtube. Does anybody know if this affects or makes changes to any other systems or features besides disabling the Start/Stop function?

Paul, It only disables the A/S/S and nothing else.
