I'm thinking of changing my fluid soon. Wow, for that price! The only problem is the cost of driving from PA to Iowa.
Actual price TBD. If it is for dump, new filter, refill, flush with clean fluid top-off, it looks like a bargain.
But "Transmission Service" seems to have several definitions and prices per other responses.

I'm at 30K plus change. Trans is working great and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible.
CDF module seems to be the main culprit according to this forum. But the solenoid control valve body turns up as another problem....from micro debris. I doubt if the flush will help the clutch module, but it may help the valve body. Any engine or transmission generates break in debris. Engine oil change frequency covers this. But I'm not taking any chances with the 10R80.
IF the CDF bushing starts to move then there will be slippage in the clutches however slight it may be. Slippage creates micro debris and that’s what can mess with the valve body. So yes frequent changes can help keep the debris to a minimum but won’t do a thing to prevent further slippage and debris or bushing movement. That’s why it’s so important for those with a warranty still and any slight hint of shifting anomalies to get it dealt with. There is a remedy.

Thanks. My ESP is good through Dec 2026. I only have 30K miles today, maybe 42K by then.
If problems don't show by Sep 2026 I'll lie about odd shifting and get the CDF scan I've read about here. ...maybe it will catch a pending problem.

While still under warranty at 50K miles my tranny had been acting up, nothing severe but more annoying. I inquired about a filter and fluid change, which I should have done at 30K, service rep, who I have been using for a few years said it was recommended to do a flush only, which was just over 300 because the filter and fluid was around 900!! That is because they replace the pan when it is removed. Crazy, right! This was all from the service rep at the Ford dealer I have used for years. Normally flushes are not a good idea because it can create issues, but I opted for the flush because it's under warranty and being done at an established dealer. The flush worked real well, no issues and the weird shifting issues went away. Now at 72K it's starting to exhibit some of those same issues. One thing I have done that seems to work well for the tranny is to drive in tow haul mode, it shifts better, at least mine does. She may have been quoting you for another vehicle or service. Good luck...
I highly recommend adding LubeGuard Platinum if you haven't already.

I like this tranny, 85 mph and under 2500 rpm. Engine is just coasting. I also like tow mode because it works all the solenoids. Most issues Ive had is software, weird shift one start up smooth shift the very next

Dont know what that is
This product has been vetted thoroughly, including on this forum with many people reporting noticeable improvements in the 10R80, including me. Some have completely cured their issues. As far as I know, there have been no negative reports. It is a solid product, not snake oil.

That is my plan before I have any fluid change, which will happen soon. I hear good things about LubeGuard.

It took a while to track her, but really...I'm not a stalker. Solid MILF in my book.

Now that you are in trouble for the service assistant comment you posted this touching photo. We want to see the assistant in her actual dealership uniform. No more shenanigans mister.

That is a big ask. Phone camera will be a bit obvious. ....maybe I can find a hat cam.

How much Lube Guard is recommended for the 10R80 during an ATF flush / fill?
LUBEGARD® Platinum® Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant can be added to any ATF (except CVT, and Ford Type F [1986 and earlier models]). For normal applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) of LUBEGARD® Platinum® to 1 qt. (1 L) of ATF for the total capacity of the transmission with motor idling. DO NOT OVERFILL. Always consult your owner’s manual for vehicle specific instructions. To determine fill capacity, use our OM ATF & Conversion Chart
