Well I should have left last Tuesday for my annual Wisconsin fly fishing trip with a buddy, but he had emergency oral surgery last weekend, plan was to head for Michigan Wednesday to meet a different buddy… 5.5 inches of rain changed that plan. Had to fix an erosion problem.
At least I got a couple hours out near the house….

More fun with my wife and Walker today. We drove up to Corolla and 4x4 Beached it all the way to the Virginia border on Corova Beach this morning. It was a really nice day. Here is a sunrise and some 4x4 in the soft sand. The Mustangs even graced us with their presence.

It was Tuesday and Wednesday, but I needed a recovery day. Tuesday I left the house early for Smokemont Campground in the GSMNP. It was about 1.5 hours of Sport Mode from the house through the mountains. Set up the truck/camp and then hit the trails along Chasteen Creek and Bradley Fork for 9.25 miles. Drug my old butt into camp, got the fire started and had my one illegal celebration beer I snuck in . Hit the rack early. Got up Wednesday and did 7.35 miles on Bradley Fork before driving my tired butt home. Great 2 days/hiking and fishing in the Park.

How on earth did you get back? I heard that once you’re in heaven, you can’t return.

Drove to the cottage to harvest the wheat cut the grass and the dandelions.

2/3 acre and it had to be cut twice at different heights. It was hot as anything, humid, and for some reason, the self-propelled cable/lever wouldn’t budge.
