New TSB - Harsh Shifts - Covering (After 8-16-22) 22-23 Rangers Only

Note: This only is for the 2022 and 2023 Ranger - with a build date - On or After August 16, 2022

For those that have Build Dates - After August 16, 2022 and have the new design CDF Drum, this TSB was posted today.
This shows even though the new drum is installed that there is enough issues system wide to generate this TSB

Summary - This TSB covers the other side of August 16 2022, where the previous TSB's stopped the procedure steps of the TSB

Though I would share my finding - luckily, I have no issues

Yeah the mid '22's were supposed to be updated and fixed but I guess nothing is ever truly fixed right. So far mine's running good and I'm not going to do the TSB and I'll drive it 'till the wheels fall off!

Keep the transmission fluid clean and cool. (And cool helps keep it clean).

According to this latest TSB it looks like the updated outer shell or trash can began being installed in transmissions around September of 2024. So no production 5g’s have the updated shell. But any replacement transmissions built after 09/24 would have it. So my replacement transmission that was installed under warranty in 06/24 wouldn’t have the updated shell. Great

Interesting. I have a 21 with a new trans under warranty in may 23. I have all the symptoms listed in the tsb, I wonder if they'd honor the work.

Tbh, the trans is so much better behaved than the original that I've just been dealing with it, but it's not *right*

HMM - That is VALID question to ask per the (Print Verbiage - NO) but the (WHAT IF) you have a transmission that was installed with that updated drum but not in the specified coverage years

Just think: If they had only offered a manual transmission…like most(?) of us wanted….

Your worry factor is still at its original level. You still get to worry about the CDF drum and the trash can.
