Installed BBK 65MM throttle body

Decided to try something new added the BBK ecoboost throttle body to my truck, so far so good, it was not a plug and play I had to install the electronics from my stock TB to make it work, the throttle response is very snappy and midrange power is improved

Do you have a part number? I tried Google. I got a bbk for the mustang and there was a Jet TB for the ranger. Didn't find see a bbk for the ranger.

BBK is claiming 8-12 hp gain. Anyone dyno that to confirm? I take it an optimized tune is required? It's even C.A.R.B. compliant. What a shock.

the throttle response is better off idle, mid-range power feels better, gas mileage has gone down
1-mpg so far, going to work with my tuner and see what he says about tuning the throttle body

Did you try it with the electronics it came with? If so, what did it do? I'm guessing the programming is off being it's for a mustang.

We can guess the factory TB was there for MPGs of course but I'm following this to see how flexible it makes performance over all.

I've read about manifold spacers and throttle body spacers here on the forum but this seems like a more straightforward component to alter the personality of the engine.

If combining this with a turbo change up and programming to reduce lag while achieving a linear power curve it would be a super attractive way to gain power without giving up too much MPGs . So far looks like an easy upgrade?

The factory electronics swap is a plus, I get that the electronics are going to be a little confused by the change in airflow. No codes though?

What other engine mods to you have in your truck? I assume a tune. CAI? Exhaust? Truck must be fast hence your name.
