Did some PM to Oppie today. Had the day off and the weather was great. Washed the air filter, reinforced the fan clutch thingamabob, and finally tackled the DPFE sensor. The only real hassle was reaching the damn thing, I am 6'1" and had to use a step stool. I opted for the unit with new hoses attached, with new squeeze clamps held in place and spread with plastic clips. Getting at the old squeeze clamps was a bit of a challenge. Once you got the new hoses in place, you just yank off the clips and done. All in all not a bad job. I had no real symptoms to speak of that made me change it, so we'll see.
Oh, and I also topped off the Noco jump pack.
Oh, and a tip, when removing the DPFE sensor, removing it from the mount first helps with getting to the hoses/clamps.

Where did you source the DPFE sensor? Price? For future reference. 😁

Can't remember, been several months. Rock Auto maybe. You can save money by getting just the sensor itself, but I opted for the one that had the hoses, clamps and bracket included. Made it so easy.

I was thinking the same route when it's time. Less time under the hood the better for me.

Filled her up today and hit a new high, 18MPG! combined city/freeway (normally 16-17) my best ever was 20.9 all freeway. I also just hit 15K miles so maybe it's getting broken in? :)

Question, do most of you leave the AC on all of the time? I may have had a day or 2 with it off

I don't leave the ac on unless I'm using it. I will however run it 1-2 times a month in the off season to keep it functioning and lubed. That didn't sound right. lol

Given the time of year that it is. Depending on what the temperature outside is of the morning, I will leave the heat on low and then depending on what the temperature of the afternoon is, if it's 75 to 80 ish or above. I will turn the AC on low for the drive home.

I set mine to Auto and then never touch it except to occasionally bump it up or down a notch.

My 22 Got 26mpg on a trip last summer, wife was driving, and following me in the class C motorhome, loafing along at 55-60 mph, I was fairly impressed but I have seen 23-24 mpg on long interstate runs at considerably higher speeds.

Drained and filled ULV fluid for the trans and changed spark plugs. 37k. Previously put on PPE trans pan and new filter and fluid at 15k. Shifts much better.

Not necessarily to my Ranger but to an old, unused part from my Ranger….

I didn’t NEED an extra light in my garage but I made one anyway.

That dang grille was sitting in a box for six years. I knew it would finally be good for something. I had a leftover LED strip from some floating shelves I removed in the kitchen so I figured, why not.
