I would have liked to have seen the look on their faces when you unplugged the ASS right in front of them before you hit the road lol.

Hi Joel. I can't remember what the reasoning was, but I seem to remember something like the truck needing to be turned off and the nightlight working on the second use.
Ok, I’m going to try that again and I have a different light to try also. Thanks

That's strange because anything that draws a little current will disable it and I've never heard of a nightlight not working. I use one similar to this one and have used the flat style ones too without any problems.

Tried one of these today, works very well.

Seat belt, Sport mode, trac off, stability off, connect phone, and then I’m good to go..
Only time I don’t use sport is when towing so my ass hasn’t been a problem 😅.

And with that, you'd think that they (politicians) would get it through their heads that the Majority of us Ranger owners are old school and like to hear our trucks Run while setting at a Stop sign or a red light. Just saying.

This one you can't blame on Ford. It was the ones in charge back in '08 that set the CAFE mandates that every manufacturer had to follow and as you can see by my post here and they're all in agreement that they're glad it's gone.

NICE! Something else I never use, along with Lane Assist.
Had my Ranger three years before I even knew what that stupid button did.
Lane assist is a love hate relationship with me. I hate it around town and always have it off but I do find it useful on the highway and would say I use it there 75% of the time. Especially when I'm traveling long distances and Chris @Chris M is texting me and I'm eating my lunch at the same time and driving with my knees. Then it helps keep me in my lane.

I hate Lane Assist and Auto High Beams. The Lane Assist on narrow winding roads makes it look like I am wandering. The Auto High Beams don't seem to notice on coming cars but react to traffic signs by dimming, not seeing the reflection and going back to high, dimming, etc. until I get past it. Both behaviors are going to get me a DUI and I quit drinking 30+ years ago.

I find the auto high beams don't start working until it's really dark. So I am often using them manually. I don't understand why the auto lights turn on, but the auto dim not until much later.
