Ford has only two part numbers for new or reman replacement transmissions. One for a 4x2 and one for a 4x4. So how do they explain that? The new transmission that they placed in my 2022 has a different part number than the original. Call your dealer back and ask if both vins have the same part number for either a new or reman transmission. That should answer your question.
I'm wondering if the lkq is maybe a 4wd and it's listed wrong?

They have the Vin posted. I will look it up.

I called another dealer.

My 2021 part# 2wd ranger- kb3z-7000-A

LKQ part# 2wd Ranger - NB3Z-7000-A

The weird thing is the parts guy said the lkq truck comes up as a lariat and it's not a lariat.

If they’re both 2wd then there should be no problem. You could PM @LevittownFordParts.com and ask them to research it for you.

Right.. I'm tracking man. I know that part # will fit my truck. The nbz # is the issue. Lkq said they would not accept a return and I don't need the shop to have any excuses if something goes wrong.

But also says it fits the 2023’s. But don’t blame you for wanting to be sure.

Well I found one on ebay from a 2023 with 19k $2750 shipped. So I'm definitely in the clear with it being the updated one. The ad also lists it as working on a 2019-2023 so the shop can't say anything. This is a pretty small shop and he is a great guy. I've seen him replace engines and transmissions many times during the week. I just hope he has the capability to program the trans to my computer.

Since I went through this (as a curiosity) and actually had a difficult time finding this specific information when I first took delivery (Verify the Part Number I have was truly the Revised Number) but 3 Years later - Its easily found and VERIFED.

Note: I have a 2022 4WD and a Build Date of Aug 16th, 2022, the exact date of the (TSB) decision of troubleshooting path. So, I have the REVISED Transmission and the First Day of production with the new revised part number.
My 4WD Transmission has the Engineering Part Number on the Tag NB3P-7000-FA- and a (Transmission Assembly Date) of July 25, 2022.
So, I LUCKED out and got the revised transmission - First Day Of (New) Production.

This what I was trying to tell the LQK rep, he just was not wanting to hear it. While I am happy i got a newer 2023 with less miles transmission, it would have been much easier to just get it through LKQ. My shop deals with them daily and it comes with a 6month parts and labor warranty. The 2023 from ebay I get 30days.

I was going to just pull the trigger with LKQ but again, if something went wrong, I know they will immediately put the blame on "wrong transmission"

If the 2019-2021s were actually cheaper I would have just went with it and went straight to the dealer. They actually cost more then the 2022s they had in stock.

As far as programming the Solenoid ID to the PCM - There will be a Data Tag on the RH side of the (Transmission) and any High-End Scan Tool has the Solenoid (programming) to update what is in the transmission to the PCM - it's simply plugging the information on the (Data-Tag) into the tool and the tool writes it to the PCM - I believe all of my scan tools will do it, unsure at the moment about my Autel but the TopDon & Snappy will for sure.

Okay , so this is something that Forscan and my Livernois tuner will not be able to do. I'll go talk to the shop tomorrow and see what's what.
