I've been thinking it over, probably better just find a used 2022 transmission or just get a shop to rebuild mine.

It doesn't seem to hard replacing the cdf drum but idk if I could do everything else. I've never rebuilt a transmission.
After watching these two videos I'm confident I could tear it down but absolutely positive I couldn't get it back together again. lol

RIP to my 10r80 115,500miles.

On Sunday I extracted about a quart of fluid and replaced with two bottles of Lubegard platinum. Few hard shifts to 5th but it drove fine. Monday I take a 2hr trip on the interstate and the shifts were smooth. At the end of the trip it started to act up. Bucking and slipping. No more reverse and it's stuck in 4th. Got it towed back home. The shop is looking for a used 22/23 trans. If that doesn't pan out then new one it is.

New ones were listed at $2500 a while back.

I don't know if they are still that cost.

If it’s a 22 used transmission make sure it’s a really late build otherwise you’re just jumping back in the same boat

If you're going to keep the truck I'd bring it to a transmission shop and let them do it right. If you're going to trade it in then just put in whatever is the cheapest and send it down the road.

I see lkq has a 2022 with a 35/2022 build date and 27k on it but they are asking for my transmission ID. I gave him the VIN but he said that won't work.

I've been going back and forth on this. I just paid my last payment a few weeks ago and just installed my Eibach coilover kit. I really don't feel like going back to another note.

The 2022 lkq trans ID is
NB3P-7000-EA

Mine is
KB3P-7000-RD

So I guess I'm out of luck with them. Everything else they have is kb3p-7000-RC

The LKQ is a 4x2 transmission. Yours is a 4x4. Any 2019-2023 4x4 will work in your truck.

I called the ford dealer gave him my Vin and the Vin of the lqk truck and he stated the transmissions have two different part numbers.
Ford has only two part numbers for new or reman replacement transmissions. One for a 4x2 and one for a 4x4. So how do they explain that? The new transmission that they placed in my 2022 has a different part number than the original. Call your dealer back and ask if both vins have the same part number for either a new or reman transmission. That should answer your question.

I did that with two different dealers. They said each Vin has a different transmission part #. Neither could say what's the difference and wouldn't give me the part #
