Went to the Casino last night for dinner. After I finished unloading the ABF truck we spent the day getting Annies desk and office set up for work. Got a few other things unboxed and next thing I knew it was 5:30 and forgot, we never went to the grocery store so no food for dinner.

They have 2 different restaurants there. One is a basic one (Diamond Grill) that has burgers, pizza, tacos, sandwiches and appetizers and the other (Taste Of Agave) has steaks, pasta, fish, lobster and deserts. I (believe it or not) wasn't all that hungry from unloading the truck and working all day so we just went and got burgers and nachos which are great. They're both priced very reasonable and no sales tax which is a bonus! See what you're missing. lol

Not today but last week. I had lost one of the after market RANGER letters, I had installed them about 4 years ago. For some reason the E just didn't go on right. I had ordered another set. But they were diffrent. So I removed the letters from the grille and replaced them with the other set.

Had to work all day today (8 hours), varys depending on what the higher ups have up their sleeves. Usually a greedy palm with an outstretched arm lol.
Then I stopped by Dads, and visited with him and Uncle Jim while doing some research on here. Then, when I got to Bonham I made a grab and go at Braums, topped the truck off and headed home.

Backed the Ranger out of the garage to make room for @LaBalbe ’s SuperCrew so we could tackle his broken front skid plate bolts, cranked up the overhead gas heater and got to work. They were rusted in place and sheared off inside the nut that is welded to the top of the mounting point. Looked like a bit too much ugga gugga. Almost impossible to drill a pilot hole for an easy out. First step, get some penetrating oil on the back end of the bolt. It seemed like attempting the easy out would be a fool’s errand but I gave it a try. They work pretty good for stripped heads but not so great when a bolt is broken because of rust. They were both welded in place. I Dremeled a flat spot on one, set a good dimple with a centre punch, got a good pilot hole, got an even better hole for the easy out but there was just no hope in budging it. Got a bigger bit and went a size bigger on the easy out - nope, nothin’ doin’.

It was the “worst case scenario” so we went with the plan for that - drill them out, don’t worry about the nut‘s threads, put in new bolts, washers, and nuts - it’s the front bolts of the forward skid plate - a threaded mount is nice to have but not needed.

In the meantime, LaBalbe was unboxing his @Realtruck Elevate Rack, removing his tonneau cover, and reading the rack install manual. The install went well - a bit of open-close, open-close and on and off with the tonneau to check for fitment and to tweak the headboard and tailgate seals. Lots of nuts, washers, and bolts later, it was in place. Pretty straightforward install for a truck without a tonneau cover and not too many headaches because of the tonneau- no cutting or trimming, just had to build up the weather seal in a couple of key areas.

The black rack looked great on his Shadow Black Ranger!

By chance do you recall What bolt size for the front skid plate bolts? (The threaded part.) my front skid plate on my tremor is Jerried on there right now and would like to get proper replacements for the four bolts… I’ve heard they’re M10x25mm but if you could confirm that, well that would be awesome.

Yes, that's right. I mistakenly got 7/16s, but fortunately Duke had a bunch of spare parts and we were able to come up with a good solution.

Awesome thank you.. my skid plate is also currently mounted with bolts that fit (mixed lengths😅) but I didnt know what thread size they were… the old bucked of miscellaneous bolts came in handy..
Time to go get some M10x25mm.

We drilled out and replaced with an off size because we knew we wouldn’t be able to thread an original bolt in after sacrificing the threaded nut. I think you are right about the size but I’m sure someone on here can confirm.
