This is my life of the truck so far, fuel economy over almost 85k miles. I’ve taken it from GA to Illinois and back, GA to Florida and back twice, and from GA to Alabama’s coast and back once. It’s an impressive feature considering my driving habits are far from a peepaw out for a Sunday cruise.

Could not agree more. The gas milage is great in my 2021 STX 4x4. My best is 27/28 mpg when on highway at 60-65. It is hard to maintain that, but if I go higher 70 to 75 it goes down to about what your showing at 25/23 mpg.

If I drive on fairly level highway and set the cruise at 70 I get around 26 MPG - my truck is leveled and right now I'm running a tune designed for midgrade but Costco premium. It's not much better without the tune but with midgrade fuel - be it 89 octane 10% ethanol or 90 octane ethanol free seems be consistent and a skoosh higher. The cost difference is negligible.

At least it's still double digits 😁

Mine averages around 16, but that's because the vast majority of my drives are less than 20 minutes with lots of stops.

If I get out on the road and reset the MPG it immediately averages over 21, around 25 on highway trips.

But right now, the lifetime average speed for my truck is hovering between 25 and 26 mph 🤪

My wife made a comment to me about my fuel economy being 11 mpg. I told her, "I drive like an asshole and my truck is shaped like a brick. You know these things!" 🤷‍♂️ 🤣
Smartly you didn't reply that it was the "added weight in the passenger seat". 🤪 🤬

Same. Kinda. I have 16 stop-starts on my daily drive. All spaced out 0.5 miles apart. 10 mpg is my normal for commuting. Because,,, I always drive in Sport Mode, I love the sound, And I own the roads because I'm at work by 5:50am and I drive home at 7:00pm (9:30pm 3 x's/wk) so I get to fire up the torches pretty often.

I recently did a 400 mile highway run and averaged 23.2 mph.

Average for the past 7800 miles is 13.0 mpg.

Same for me, most drives are under 5 miles (plus the driveway shuffling and letting it idle for 10+ with remote start - or forgetting I had remote started it!!!). =)

I think my total measured mpg is 16.6. My overall average speed is like 20! =D

I really getting a laugh out this ongoing obsession with mpg. I personally don't even know or care what lifetime fuel mileage is. That is not what I bought my Ranger for. I bought it to do the things I needed it to do, pull my camper, haul things, and yes look kind of cool doing it too.

As far as comparing mileage against anyone else. That is a lost cause. Everyone is different. Driving style, climate, geography, usage.

When I get close to a quarter tank I stop and fill it up. It takes what it takes and I pay what it costs. I do keep track of the tank mileage occasionally just to make sure it hasn't changed drastically because of and issue that needs to be taken care of. If I was really concerned about the mileage I was getting I wouldn't have bought a truck.

Don't take this away from us. =(

For some, maybe even me, we don't have lots of exciting things in our lives ... =p

Watching the Ranger's gas needle go down is, at least, faster than watching paint dry! =D
