Site Outage: Our Apologies

Ya know, I've been following this thread with much eagerness.

Some folks are being told to Clear Your Cash, but this outage has been good for my bank account.

No posts, no spending, and I ain't clearing my cash.

Well ... until I see something shiny that one of you yahoos (affectionately) post that I must have. =D

RANT ON...Ok I don't know what changed but my OCD is not happy with the notification bell that constantly shows 5 RED unread bell notices...I've read everything but it still shows FIVE RED NOTICES and it's driving me CRAZY!!!! I've log off/on and didn't fix anything...and why am I still blocked from "off topic" thread? I'm like 90 years old guys...

edit...seems like someone heard me and the notifications are now gone...thanks! =)

If anyone has any phantom alert bubbles, this is what worked for me!

1) visit https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/account/alerts?show_only=all

2) scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on "select all" and "Mark read" then click "Go". This should hopefully clear your alert bubble.

Note: if that doesn't clear your alert bubble, repeat step #2 for all successive alert pages (if any).

And we’re back! Our apologies for the recent site downtime and thank you for your patience. The site had to be taken offline while we fixed ongoing server issues.

Bad News: during the fix we had to roll back the site to July 23, so you may notice some recent posts missing (just from July 24th). We hope you’ll help by reposting any missing threads / posts that you remember posting last Friday July 24.

Good News: as part of the fix, we also upgraded the server, so the site should now load faster than ever!

Note: The search index is still being rebuilt, so search results and your content page will be blank/incomplete until rebuild is finished.

Yes this should work since it's manually marking all your alerts as read (the drop down menu doesn't show all your alerts, but that page does).

That did not work for me. I selected Unread, and opened them one by one. They all cleared and it hasn't done it since.
