very nice! not trying to get rid of you sooner but did you try the Ford website for inventiory nearby? there are a lot of Bronco's available around here you may be able to find it on a lot! FYI you can actually edit the URL to 200 for a 200 mile radius if you willing to travel a bit for the right one.

Good Luck!

LB
Dear LB, thanks for the information. The timeframe we agreed to with the dealer (right up the street from us) suits us better because we will be away during the summer and do not want to leave a hot new vehicle in our hot old garage for three months...

That's way cool Marc! I really like that color which they didn't have when I purchased my 20 Ranger otherwise I would probably have done that instead of the Iconic Silver. I am very Jealous.
Hey, Mark, thanks for your reply. I initially thought of blue again or maybe black, but when the Eruption Green came out, we loved it at first sight!

I have a 2022 Ranger Lariat Tremor and my wife has a 2024 Bronco Outer Banks w/ 2.3 + 4.23 gears, so I have experience with both vehicles.

First, it is obvious when you drive both that they are on the same platform. They drive similarly, though there is no doubt the Ranger rides a little better on pothole stricken roads. I have the FPP tune on my Ranger and it is noticeably faster, I would bet it is on par with the 2.7 untuned. The Bronco is a lot louder in the cabin, obviously with the top off but also with the hard top on. The interior of the Bronco also feels a little cheaper -- I think it is a consequence of trying to waterproof the interior. My Ranger also gets about 10% better gas mileage than when I drive the Bronco, abot 20% better than when my wife does. She doesn't know how to let off the throttle as you approach a red light or stop sign... One other difference is the audio, we both have the B&O stereo but I feel that there was again a compromise made to water proof the interior and also to lighten the doors, so the audio isn't quite as good in the Bronco.

Overall, it is very nice to go topless but otherwise I enjoy driving my Ranger more.
Hey, man, thanks for the comparison. All that makes sense. We found the Bronco seats more supportive and comfortable and the tech more advanced, which were the main differences. I tuned my 2019 Lariat and will be eager to see how the 2.7 in the Bronco behaves and whether it needs a tune—just the Ford Performance tunes, nothing exotic. I am only getting about 19 MPG on the Ranger. I blame my heavy foot for that and do not expect to do much better with the Bronco. But like most guys on the forum, I am not in it for the mileage...

Congrats Marc! Sure you will love it. Presuming that's the color you ordered? Very sharp.

Build date of May 12 is surprising! I suppose the days of waiting for a Bronco are over, then?
Yeah, that is the color we ordered (but the image is just one I downloaded from the internet that looks the most like the Bronco with the specs we requested). Are the days of waiting for a Bronco over? I have my doubts...

You either feel it, or you don't...
You will love the 2.7 in the Bronco . I get 16-19mpg in my 2dr Badlands but I tend to keep it in boost more than Eco with that right pedal ,lol. I loved the Ranger but always wished it had been available with the 2.7 . For me being a motorcycle rider , there's no comparison in being able to take the doors and roof off. It makes the drive so much more relaxing to me.

Oh , and the tailgate comes factory with a damper :)

Two things: I see some have a slide-out tailgate - can a damper be added to it?

I see some have shackles on the front, so they can have chin chains added - good! =D

Oh, and maybe a few other things - congrats on a new chapter in your Ford Life and you'll always be a Ranger owner in my book, and you can always pop back in here to give us peeks at how the Bronco's treating you (and you must include pics). =p

It sure looks nice and I have to admit to looking at several when at the dealership yesterday - they did a nice job on the styling.

Have fun! =)

mod inspirations - note no chin chains - you could be the first trend setter!

Best of luck. I've decided my 2019 XL to be (hopefully) my last vehicle. Besides my 1959 Villager (Edsel)
Same with me! I'm 62 and don't see myself getting anything else, considering I drove that '72 FJ40 for 30 years (my daughter has it now and wants to restore it).

Interesting that you and I have scab XLs with steelies! =)

Hey, I am 71 and already thinking about my next vehicle (after the Bronco, I mean)! Call me a crazy optimist, but my dad made it past 90 and died with a sports car in his garage...

I bought mine off the lot. Am I correct that you also upgraded the wheel centers? Here are mine.
