Question, who is the guy driving the Ranger in that review?

I noticed early as said, most reviewers don't review trucks and compare them to a sports car. Total ignorance. I've owned trucks most of my adult life, you can't compare them to a car. A truck is a totally different entity, and that is the reason a lot of these reviewers fail in my opinion.

Youtuber called Savageese. He's been slowly gaining some presence in the automotive Youtube world in the last year or two.

That YouTube reviewer typically only likes Toyota products. And isn’t fond of trucks or rather doesn’t use different logic when reviewing cars / suvs / trucks. That and I’ve watched many many of his reviews most are decent in full BUT always whinny and kinda not a car guy mentality. I’ve avoided watching his crap for awhile.
I have a lot to say about savagegeese. He completely overlooked a lot of the specs and half the features that even ranger xls come with. I've noticed he focuses on dumb stuff like audio testing and surface level things on the engine and underside that a sales person would tell you. He's a pretty moapy guy, he can't drive, and he likes to just bash things that he has a single problem with

My 2019 Ranger is a Super Crew XLT, FX4 and it just turned 2,000 miles.

There are a few things I don't like, minor personal things, like a back seat that doesn't fold flat or no
driver handrail and this still puts a smile on my face !!

And NO it wasn't $45K, the Sticker was $39.5k a ton of incentives and I had a 2009 FX4 Ranger for
a trade.....I'm smiling with my 2019, those guys in the video are Idiots.........

Two of my friends have new Tacoma's one is a pretty basic 4x4, the other is a TRD offroad now that
was pricey, and another has a new Cayon zr2 now that was Big, Big Bucks, to each there own.

I am very happy with what I have, no real complaints and I don't care what others say or drive !!

Reviews are pay to play, it's a huge market. It was always like that, even before the internet became this big, but nowadays pretty much all reviews are funded one way or another. It sucks :/

Hi Thad,

When the competition is threatened by such a good product and their sales will decline, they will call out the dogs to malign the threat. That is what you see happening here. Your product is inferior and you know it, so attack the superior product.

Look at the negative ads when the F150 went all aluminum...Chevy showed negative Ford ad after negative Ford ad. We kicked ass with not only towing capacity but with EcoBoost as well as the power performance was way beyond Chevy or Dodge.

Best,

Maybe I’m just ‘Ford Blind’ but what is with all the recent hate reviews lately on this truck? For example:

I’ve owned a number of older rangers and my last truck was a 2014 Nissan Frontier which I had purchased new and although it was a bit long in the tooth also thought was a pretty good truck - but my new Ranger is really the nicest truck I’ve had - Is it perfect? no it has a few quirks but I like this truck more and more each day!

Guess some people are just going to hate...

B.S., there are hundreds of other reviews that dispute these non-Ranger fans. I have experienced every aspect covered in this review and I could not disagree any more with the reviewers on each topic. Take the shifting...I think it shifts amazingly and the sound of the truck is fun and turns heads at every turn. The stereo is amazing and I love 80's rock and believe me, we used to have 20 to 30 speakers playing that rock and this still sounds amazing. The truck has more pep than all the six cylinders I test drove. The truck is perfect for me and I suspect for most. Hogwash is what I label their review and they obviously have an agenda and likely work for Chevy...

Why do they use the highest MSRP Lariat build as the price in comparison to an gutted / incentive F-150? I see dealers listing 4WD XLT Rangers for just under 30k, which may be bait but I'm sure in a lot of areas you can get a nicely equipped XL or XLT in the low 30s these days.

I was just on Tacoma World to update my posts when I left my 2018 Tacoma TRD OR in my Ranger's rear view mirror and it's the same nonsense, no one will hear it "Hey try this, it's freaking fantastic!" "NOPE" I like my Oatmeal plain Jane thank you very much. I've had my Ranger for three months and 2K on the OD and love it. I love the truck, and would only like to see a more aggressive facelift down the road. The Ranger after beefier tires and a this or that looks like a MEAN truck, just in a league the TACO cannot touch. The engine/tranny combo in the TACO and 4-Runner is a major let down. I saw a damper kit for the tailgate, which I did like on the TACO, though won't even bother given how light the tailgate is.

:LOL: It's really comical over there,I'm so glad this forum is nothing like that one! I don't have a problem when someone has a difference of opinion and I really love the competition with all the mid size trucks now. I think they're getting a little worried that their darling Taco is going to be eaten for lunch in the coming years!

I was lucky, though glad I know better, and after driving a 4-Runner for a week recently know now I don't want either. Again, glad there is competition and the TACO Fanboy's should be too, it means the Tacoma will improve. LOVE THE RANGER
