Built the extended platform for my Fridge set up in the truck. 3/8 plywood, thin silicone mat to stretch over the plywood for slip free surface, 2 pieces of 2x2, black spray paint, 2 small tie down points, industrial strength Velcro.

Now I have the space for the Fridge compressor to cool. Also mounted my battery for fridge under rear console so it can be hooked up to the 110V while truck is running and run the fridge when the truck isn’t running. Velcro keeps rear end of the platform down and keeps it from slipping. Also used Velcro to anchor battery in place behind console.

Need to get longer black bungees or straps, but what I had on hand works for now. Bungees won’t be needed unless things get bumpy.

It ain’t pretty, but was cheap to build and functional.

Brake fluid changed today. At a bit over 95000 miles and now 6 years old I figured it was appropriate. Old stuff was dark as expected.

Sucked out what was in the reservoir, refilled, then used the forscan abs bleed to push the fluid out. That made it super easy with only myself. All that is needed is 2 bottles with hoses and a wrench for the bleeders. Pour new fluid in as the abs motor pumps down what is in the reservoir. 2 cycles of the forscan procedure were needed to get clean fluid out of the bleeders. I used 5 250ml bottles if Pentosin DOT 4 LV fluid from Rockauto. Should have gotten 6 as 5 was cutting pretty close, ending up just right with the level center of max and min marks when done.

Good info (Capacity-Note) as none of the manuals give you that info.
So, you did 2 at a time - Rears then Fronts, how low was the reservoir after the (Pump Activation) with 2 at a time? or did you use the extra tank method to keep it full?

This is one of those (scan tool features) I never really used and have always done it old school, I am certain (1) at a time will not empty the reservoir but 2 made me question it.

Forscan has you do fronts first, left and right simultaneously then both rears simultaneously. As for level after activation I cannot say as I poured additional fluid while it pumped in an effort to prevent running dry. Unsure if strictly necessary but I would not try to activate it without a way to top up during the abs pump activity. Either what i did, or with those bottles you put on the reservoir. The forscan promts call out using a pressure bleeder to keep the reservoir topped off.

Grille insert isn't as hard as it might look. It flexes when it needs to so you don't have to take the facia off or anything. Took me about 30 min total because I'm old and don't move fast, so getting up and down off the ground isn't my strong suite.

Mine's been on since I bought it in '21...no rattles or problems. Same with the bug shield as well. Tape is rock solid with no issues, even going through car washes.

You'll be fine. Enjoy!
Chris M. Thanks for the advice on the easy install method. I did as you suggested and flexed it into place. Twisted it, and slid it into place. Then Lifted the edges and slid each mount flange under the plastic and … freaking Walla!! You are Da Man!
Thanks BIG TiME ????

Lucille got a bath yesterday and I had to get the blooming Dogwood tree in the picture. I sure like this time of the year with everything blooming. All my Roses are looking awesome. I have 25 different roses, color and type wise. They keep me busy but that's OK.

Just spent 3 hrs installing brakes. On one side.
Damn those calipers are difficult to turn in. I've done plenty of them with just the cube tool. I could not get the caliper to turn in. Ended up calling my wife while she was shopping, to pickup a loaner caliper kit at the flaps. Of course the kit was borked - handle twisted, missing a pin to hold the adapter, so I had to fix it first. The kit only does clockwise. Fortunately it was the passenger side I had apart so I was able to get that side done. I'll try to finish it up tomorrow.

Finally got the ccw caliper tool and some time to finish the job. Driver side was worse but so much quicker now that I had everything ready to go. Test drove and bedded brakes and we are good.

No more clamps or cube tools for me. Too old to waste time futzing around to make do without the proper tools anymore.

If I were to put something like that in my truck, my (somewhat younger) wife would simply say " are you getting worse, now you need a reminder of what you drive every time you get in"
