Got the new shoes this morning. Grabber ATP, 265/70 R17.
Fills up the wheel wells a little better. No rubbing so far. Dam things are slippery when new and wet.
Damn NTB alignment guy was late so now I gotta go back for the alignment. At least they gave me a good discount on it.
Can't wait until the wife tries to get in. wonder if she'll notice the extra inch she needs to climb to get in. ?

Just spent 3 hrs installing brakes. On one side.
Damn those calipers are difficult to turn in. I've done plenty of them with just the cube tool. I could not get the caliper to turn in. Ended up calling my wife while she was shopping, to pickup a loaner caliper kit at the flaps. Of course the kit was borked - handle twisted, missing a pin to hold the adapter, so I had to fix it first. The kit only does clockwise. Fortunately it was the passenger side I had apart so I was able to get that side done. I'll try to finish it up tomorrow.

these calipers won’t twist unless you apply pressure on the piston. That spun me up for a long time.

Man, the inner looks nasty - How were the sliders?
The piston might be sticking if it was really hard to turn, however it is difficult to tell with the (C-Clamp) style of handle - (No Leverage)

For: Ref ironically, I just finished this little note guide via pics & YouTube

As always, good post from you, always appreciated!
Sliders are fine, move freely. The caliper turned fine with the cube tool, just couldn't get enough pressure to get it to turn in.
I've had lots of problems with Ford rear calipers seizing up. Not so much on other makes. May be the wonderful winters and all the road salt and chemicals.
Side note, when i got the tires yesterday, they told me 80% left on the front, 20% on the rear.
I do use the parking brake regularly to keep things freed up and that works fine though I've had to replace them on the other Fords.
Good tips in those pics, I was aware of all those, I just didn't give enough detail to the wife to get the correct kit.
I'm sure you could do pads in under an hour, if you are doing rotors, probably 1.5 hrs if you are familiar with everything needed and have the correct tools. If you are in areas with snow and salt, taking the extra time to clean up the corrosion could double the time.
I'll probably tackle the other side tonight after getting the correct caliper kit and im sure it will take 1/2 the time. For now, I'll start the long trek to the office. (Up 14 stairs and down the hall  )

Gave my Ranger a - Flesh Wound today:
Backing into a parking spot that has a light pole (concrete pillar)
After Park - Rollback - downward slope

Should be able to buff out the paint and touch up & the step pad just touch up.

Ironically it was in the dealer parking lot - picking up hardware for my front shock swap.

I've heard of similar stories.....light poles attempting "Suicide by Vehicle", by jumping into their path. Seems to be very common......
My wife had a similar experience with her Subaru several years ago, so I feel your pain....
She also swears that that shopping cart intentionally rolled behind her when she was backing.....knew the precise spot to wait....right in back of the taillight.....

I will see what I can do with it, to get it to blend nicely.
I did another thing today - I became damper less, one of the things I picked up at the dealer was a support cable as mine had the plastic coating chaffed from catching on the damper. I got tired of the noises and the cable issue and just removed it.
I will say it's going to be a retraining moment as I was so used to grabbing the handle and giving it a pull and letting go.

Sorry - AZ - for the record I did buy the Ford Version of it

Nope that bumpers totaled, time to get a high clearance off road HD rear bumper… and a a front one too so they match properly ?
