I have the ODBLink EX adapter, and I'd like to set up a dashboard that includes Trans Fluid Temp and Engine Oil Temp using OBDLink's OBDLink app for Android. I added both by adding user-defined Ford PIDs, but they read zero rather than a live value. Has anybody been able to add these PIDs to the OBDLink app?
Thanks in advance, Mark

What are using for transmission fluid temp? I have one in Torque Pro that is listed as Transmission Temp that works. I don't believe there is a PID for Oil Temp. I do have one that works for Oil Pressure though.

Using "Transmission Fluid Temp", module: TCM, OBD mode: 22, PID#: 1674. See screen shot, attached

I got trans temp but it's part of an optional $$ package...I haven't found an oil temp in PIDs but cylinder head and engine temp are pretty similar due to proximity?

Yea, we don't have an oil temp sensor. Trans temp is this though:
Thanks, ctechbob. That screen looks different than what I'm seeing. What app is that screen shot from?

If you have a 2.3L then the PID is in the PCM the US Version Ranger does not use the TCM module.
The Turbo's do.
Doh - Edit Bi-Turbo Diesel’s use the TCM

Does your head and coolant temperature always run the same temp? My head temperature is always around 220-225 and the coolant is much lower.

Wow you must be in AZ or something...mine runs around 200-210...and yes, head and coolant are within 5 degrees as you can see in my dashboard shot...

I tried this with Torque Pro and get around 30 at idle.
Moves around alot.
Yep, the Ranger has a variable pressure pump. You'll notice that it moves in steps depending on what the motor is doing. Idle, low or no boost it will be around 30, when you hit a little over 1psi of boost it will jump up to 40-50, full beans it will run a little higher.
