I cursed at it. A lot.

Last night, I started on my OME BP-51 install. I was trying to take the axle nut off, which should only be torqued to 220 ft/lbs, and I couldn't get it off. I used my 1/2" breaker bar with the handle from my jack for leverage. Well... That little bitch of a breaker bar snapped and I went down like a sack of potatoes. My leg/knee is killing me today and I've got a really cool limp. I can still hear my wife saying "are you falling?" while I was mid fall. ?

I will live, and I am going to try an impact later today. Apparently, when the gears were installed, the installer said "12 ugga duggas with the impact gun should be sufficient" and went to mother f^%$&*$ town on it.

On a side note: Tekton is amazing. I sent them a picture, filled out their warranty form this morning around 9 am. By 9:30 I had an email saying they were sending out a replacement. Bu 10:15 I had a tracking number. They have lifetime warranty and... it was wicked easy to get handled. I cannot recommend Tekton enough for tools.

And, in case anyone thinks the breaker bar was faulty, we used my neighbors breaker bar too and it broke in the same spot. That 35mm bolt is just hammered into oblivion.

Even with an impact gun, you may need to heat that bolt with a torch first

3/4" breaker bar ? ?‍♂

Use a 6' cheater pipe. Less likely to take a fall.
That’s how I broke the 1/2” bar.

anyways:

with the right tools, I can do the front suspension in just over 3 hours. That includes a dinner break and taking time to brush my kiddos teeth. It’s amazing what the right tools will do! I borrowed @AndyMedic’s Milwaukee impact. Turns out a $500 impact does a lot better than a $120 impact. Weird! The axle nuts only took 30 seconds total for both sides. Now they’re torques to 220 ft/lbs instead of holy f-ing balls.

these ride great. I’m glad @AndyMedic decided to upgrade to Kings (see above). I’ll tackle the rear shocks tomorrow. Right now, I’m tired and enjoying a cigar.

That's far longer than average lifespan, why are you annoyed?
1st, because I am a grumpy old man
2nd, because I needed the sales persons help to install the drivers side
3rd,, for what I paid for wipers almost 2 years ago & what I paid this time the damn wipers should last 5 years or more
how`s that for reasons to be annoyed ?

I say this in all seriousness try putting some 303 Graphene on them. The OEM wipers on my '19 were 4 years old and sat in the AZ all day while I was working. My '23 will be 2 years old in May and both have been working like new. Now either I'm extremely lucky or the 303 is doing its job protecting the rubber from breaking down. I also use it on all the glass and never get that chatter from them.

What wheel is that in the background?
Fuel Shok D666 - I'm fairly certain.

Is it me or is this becoming a “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” thing?
