Not sure what this means. Try driving a long screwdriver through the oil filter diameter in one side and out the other and use to unscrew the filter. If you do this, stay near the end of the filter not close to the engine block.Snapped on Phillips all ready

Same. I've switched to an FL-400S or equivalent.Part of the reason I went to the longer filters. Easier to get hold of and put a little ass behind twisting them off.
Are you coating the oil filter gasket with a film of oil before installing the new filter?This was like my 5th oc on this truck.
No idea how the filter got on so tight.
Snapped Phillips means I already did the hammer thru the filter and snapped the Phillips while trying to turn the filter.
I got it off I removed that mouse trap oil drain path and that gave me just enough room for another another pair of channel locks. Attached is all the tooling I tried.
