Probably a next-spring mod, got the fuel pump insulator and needed hardware. Too cold for me to bust my butt on a slippery driveway mucking around with this thing.

Charge pipes arrived today. We are decorating the house Saturday, but then I am going to try to knock these out.
I was like gonna go to town with a new intercooler and pipes, and then the "You live in CA, so NO" came up. Have fun installing! Let us know how it runs after.

Talked with CVF and the are not C.A.R.B approved. Could do it, but some wont ship to CA, and then a keen SMOG inspector might catch on in a few years. I‘lil have to find other ways to have fun.

Just a informational FYI
The Fuel Line Disconnect kit you have will not work, as I have similar disconnects.

The space between the HP Pump and the Fuel Line is VERY minimal, I tried various 3/8 disconnects and the (metal chrome colored) style in your kit, I filed down to get in between but could not get it to depress the connector on the fuel line.
So, I scrapped the idea of - Not cutting the cover and just cut it.

Note: I even took the OEM heat shield bracket and rubber cover off of the pump and still no joy.
and noted that due to this limited space that even if I could get access and disconnected with the OEM bracket and cover installed, once the (ADDED) cover was installed there was no way you are going to get access to the disconnect with the (ADDED) cover installed. It MUST be removed.

So, in a nutshell, yes, it is possible to install the cover without cutting it, BUT when you need to get access to the COP #4 or #4 plug, you are going to cut it anyway because this has to be removed, and it cannot be removed without disconnecting the fuel line which you cannot access.
I hope I made this clear and you understand what I am trying to convey.

The manuals call for this style of disconnect tool and it is a - LOW PROFILE Tool
I have not tried either one of these - YET but I do know the standard tool will not work.

Or this - This is the tool Ford calls out for in the manuals - PN: OTC 310-250
Note this has the same length - on the disconnect side but it has a cut-out to fit around the HP Pump

You say cut? Then I cut!

Your expertise is gold and I deeply appreciate you helping us.

Thank you. =)

Not in the mail, as they won't. But I recently ordered touch up paint from the local dealer. Got some bed scratches to attend to. Was told it'd take 3-4 weeks to get it. But they called late yesterday and said it's here. Less than a week. I'll be running to pick that up a bit later today!

Before you ask, no I did not order the spray in bedliner. At the time that option, on any Ford truck, was adding 6 - 8 weeks to delivery time. So I went without and immediately installed the Ford mat and tailgate protector. Unfortunately during one of my Warden directed "home improvement bought a shit ton of new plants trips" I inadvertently put a couple of nice scratches on the front wall of the bed.

So not an exciting purchase. But one I've been meaning to do for a while so pretty cool to me. Though it's too cold now to use it. Some of my typical great planning.

Technically not for the Ranger specifically, but will be used a lot on it lol. 3400 psi gas pressure washer. Had an electric before, and didn't like it so I'll give one of these a go.

Also picked up a foam cannon, never really understood the use of them, thought they were "gimicky" especially since I hand wash all my vehicles anyway. But what the heck, it was on sale lol.

You went from electric to gas - which electric did you have?

Foam canons, depending on the soap, mixture and canon itself can really be awesome. I have 4 . . . one that came with my PW, a cheap amazon special that the brass and fittings are all different materials and corroded, and 2 that were "pricier". the "pricier" ones are really nice - they have features I never thought I would want in a fowm cannon - the little hose inside the bottle has a weight on the end and the hose is flexible so it doesn't matter the bottles orientation the soap comes out the nozzle.

https://www.mtmhydroparts.com/collections/best-sellers/products/pf22-2-foam-cannon (I have the previous version of this it has a narrow mouth on the bottle)

https://mjjc.com/collections/foam-cannon-s-v3/products/mjjc-foam-cannon-s-v3-0-quick-connection (This is my current favorite it is just a smidge top heavy so falls over easy and leaks from the inlet)

It was a Sun Joe I got off of Amazon. It was ok for car stuff, but I wanted to clean other things like my driveway and walk ways and it wasn't powerful enough, then after a year it quit working lol.

I got the cannon and shampoo from Adams, then bought a stubby gun off of Amazon that has a swivel attachment. I'll use the long gun for my driveway and walkways, and the stubby for my vehicles and foam cannon :like:

I have a Sun Joe electric washer too. It still works but seems to be loosing pressure and didn't foam my truck as good as it use to. I just bought a gas (3400 psi) washer too and it makes a huge difference over the electric ones. Just keep in mind you're not supposed to let them idle for very long, maybe 2-3 minutes at most or you'll damage the pump. That was a huge bonus with electric because they turn off as soon as you let go of the trigger.

Foam cannons are the best! You just foam the whole truck, wait a few minutes and wash with a microfiber mitt/sponge then rinse & dry. What's nice is if it's just dusty and you're just doing a quick wash you can just foam and then rinse and dry. The snow foam will break down the dust and dirt and drop it to the ground.

Good to know. I'm planning to scrub the fender wells on my R32 this weekend before I put the liners back in. So I'll make sure to turn the PW off while scrubbing. Thanks :like:
