Newbie! Leveling options that won't break the bank for 2020 XLT 4x4

First time poster here! I've had my Ranger for a little over 2 years now and it's great, but I'm looking to get it leveled and I'm not sure where to start. I'm pretty new to car mods, so some of the finer details can get confusing. I had planned on potentially moving up to 33" tires after a 2"-3" level, but after doing some research, it seems that may not work without more modifications. Any help/tips would be appreciated. Here's some info on my truck:
- 2020 XLT 4x4
- Tires are MT Baja Boss 265/70R17

If you're wanting more functionality, you'll want to stay away from a spacer leveling kit and go for something like a Fox 2.0, Eibach Pro-Truck or Bilstein 5100/6112. Of those options, i'd probably go for the Eibach or Bilstein options if you plan on actually using your truck for work. I have the Fox setup and its not great unless you're running an empty truck (specifically the rear shocks), I have a canopy on my truck and the shocks are not valved to handle that added weight.

Bought my truck in April 2019, RC leveling kit went on the following month. 65k miles later and no issues or regrets here.

My truck is used off road about 1/3 of the time, hauling stuff up and down a mountain. Never noticed any limitations here, for what its worth.

I went with the Eibachs for the balance of road and off road performance and I have to say that they nailed it. I only went up 3/4" but it looks like a lot more. Even the mechanic that put the front struts in swore it went up 2". Good thing I took a before measurement. Like anything else, the higher you go, the more you need to fix the front end geometry. You will need crash bars for sure as well.

I went with 1.5" out of the available 3" on the Eibach pro truck, and I think it was perfect.
Whatever you do, don't forget to re-aim your headlights.

I would also recommend the Eibach shocks. I installed them on all four corners, and they've been great.

Can also get a kit that includes new springs, but I opted to keep the factory springs.

If you install any of these yourself, REMOVE THE AXLE NUT and knock the front CV shaft free of the hub. There are so many horror stories posted on the forum of people not removing the axle nut and then separating the inner CV joint when trying to flex the lower control arm down far enough to remove the strut.

I just purchased a 2020 Ranger also! I am in the same boat as you. Not trying to break the bank but I need to get this boy lifted and fitted with some new shoes. **Edit - I am looking to do a 2.5" Lift

I have been reading a lot about the Bilstein 5100s but I haven't seen anyone mention it on this thread. I am still doing my research, but this is what I am considering because of the prices I've seen so far.

You didn't mention how high you want to go but I went with the Eibachs for the balance of road and off road performance and I have to say that they nailed it. Bilsteins are good for paved roads. I edited my post, I am looking for a 2.5" Lift.

Nice short video comparison. I am going to read into the Eibachs more before I make a decision.

About twice a week I run 12 miles of twisty mountain road to an old 2 mile fire road. I find myself going 5 MPH faster on the paved section and the dirt is much smoother too. There is a side street I make a right from on to a fast moving 3 lane and the potholes used to make the truck dance. Now I pull out and don't worry about it. 12K miles on my FX4 when I did the upgrade.

Interesting...I have a canopy on my supercab...Since installing the Ford leveling Fox kit, I have wanted to explore options for either different shocks or leaf spring packs.
