They came and towed the Ranger back to the shop this morning. And gave me this loaner, a '22 Bronco Outer Banks.

As a retired tech. I have done many bg brand flushes. It's a positive replacement system. You fill the bladder with 15 qts of fluid, then when the trans pumps it out the bladder pushes in the fresh fluid. If done properly it is impossible to over fill a trans.
The key phrase here " If done properly "

I dunno! It crosses right across the front bottom of the trans pan, so did they need to get that out of the way to do the fluid flush?
no pan drops right out, did you have a flush done or pan drop filter change ?

And to think I stopped going to my dealer because they started charging $35 extra for a tire rotation with The Works. Also, I'm lucky that I have a good mechanic 2 blocks from my house. But then again, I've many stories of issues with dealer's service departments.
Same. I didn't mind going every 10k for an oil change and tire rotation for warranty purposes for $59, I'd do it every 5k in between myself, but when they raised it to $79 I said screw it I'll just do it myself, keep the receipts, and take a picture of the odometer.

I was not kind to them when I did their customer survey. In return they gave me 6 months of SiriusXM that I did not want or use. SiriusXM was not happy when I told them I did not ask for or want their service. And I change my oil every 3000.

Flush supposedly.
with these trans flushing is not a good idea .. the solenoids get screwed, up the filter in these trans are a monster with a magnet in side of the filter so when you flush yo kinda wash dirt off of the magnet 30k pan drop and filter after that you can miss a filter change at 60

I appreciate all the info on this thread. I'm planning to do an all fluids change at 78,000- I'm at 69,738 now. "If you can pour it, change it." I had the TSB23xxx done about a year ago, and ir shifts slightly smoother since; good to go. I don't tow and drive ~80% rural, ≤5% mild 4WD and avoid urban rush hours. I'll specifically ask for a drop pan fluid and filter change. Love this truck!

Dealer called late this afternoon, said they needed to order replacement hardware for the sway bar. Also said they drained off some trans fluid and will drive test tomorrow after they fix the sway bar. They are going to detail it before I pick it up.
I want to drive it before I give up the loaner, and make sure I get a total inside and out detail, even if it's raining.
Would an over-filled trans cause shifting issues? I know it can cause spewing.

Is this the dealership or a Ford Quick Lane attached to the dealership? I'm not sure I'm going to use Quick Lane again after I took our Mazda B-Series and it broke down on the way home for the first time ever due to dirt in the air filter during their shoddy oil change. But the scheduled maintenance at the dealership has been fine...
