So, no Ford Pass, then you either have an issue on the (Wake Circuit)
something triggering it on - Door Ajar switch or Brake Switch and if I recall the Hood Switch plays a role into this as well.

But I believe (NOT CONFIRMED) that the TCU itself is being triggered on, now is it a glitch or is it Ford checking in on the health status and sending the report to Ford (ONLY) since you do not have the Ford Pass app.

Yes, by design if you let the truck sit for an extended amount of time the battery voltage will deplete as we have more electronics and features from years ago, and as @TJC troubleshot and played with the TCU, it appears to be the main culprit of the battery draw, we have more modules that require constant power vs only the radio presets and clock that we use to have, that is part of the power draw but if the TCU powers - it adds more draw to a truck that is not running.

Ref: This thread for a similar issue.
Reviewing this thread - reminded me of something else - I forgot
The Truck (MAY) be trying to update the Sync (OTA) Updates, is you Sync up to date to version #23188 - this may be what is triggering the TCU to power - trying to update.
You can turn that off - in the Sync Settings menu (automatic updates)
Sorry but the OP, never posted his resolution of his issue, we had it narrowed down to a high possibility of the TCU being his issue,

Just to highlight, it is normal for this action- I thought it was related to Ford Pass but it may still be doing the health check - but for Fords only viewing.
This is an occasional trigger and nothing to worry about.

The Sync update is another possibility as it takes the TCU for the OTA updates to happen.
Now the attached linked thread of Every 45-Seconds is not normal and clearly an issue. It appears but not confirmed that he pulled the TCU fuse and it quit but I am not 100% it was a final fix.

Ever since I disabled the TCU I no longer get the random wake up calls. The only time it does it now is when I open the door. It would always make me nervous while I was changing the oil and hear the truck power up.

My testing showed it not the FOB, but your phone - Ford Pass triggering the Wake-Up Circuit
Mine used to cycle when I was near the truck. I don't have a cellphone or Ford Pass. It doesn't do it anymore except when I open the door.

Since you never had - Ford Pass, then you may not have experience this (automatic Wake Trigger) and with the TCU disabled - you definitely won't get it.
My truck used to cycle the waste gate when I got near it, and I never had a cellphone or Ford Pass. For some reason, it doesn't do it anymore unless I open the driver's door. I only have the key fob.

I bought my truck used, one owner. If the truck is connected to Ford Pass, it's to the previous owner, who is 200 miles away. I do not have Ford Pass, and see no reason to want it. Remote Start works just fine with my key fob, and if my truck is too far away in a parking lot in the winter, I'll deal with the warm up. My Sync works perfectly with wireless Android Auto, and I see no need to update it past 23188. If I unplug the TCU, am I losing anything important? I'm not a fan of Big Brother (the tv show is pretty crappy, too).

IIRC, the only thing you would lose are remote features available thru Ford Pass, which you don't use anyway. If you are worried about Big Brother, better leave your phone at home.

I have an Android phone. I get it. I'm just trying to eliminate another data source.

I see the same behavior in my 2020 Ranger with Telematics disabled in Forscan, the cellular modem unplugged, and Telematic Fuse removed . I guess that is the TCU.

Checked it again today to validate. Truck is quiet until the door is opened.

What is your battery state? Just a guess, but it may stop when it detects a low charged / weak battery.

My battery is in pretty good shape (5 years old) and tests at 770CCA.

I thought we settled this a couple of years ago...the noise is coming from the built in FAX Machine.
