After some scrutinizing, this no mod, no drill, no glue position seems to be working. And short legs mean I haven't hit it yet afyer a few days.
A new flashlight, that's right Bob, a bidirectional flashlight from Olight.

I have a Maglite in Soupie but it's just a bit too big. I wanted to stay American made, but just can't find one more to my liking. I have Olights for home use and really like how long they last (there's one I use for backyard pee breaks (by Cheech, not me!) and night walks in the winter. I've had it for 3 or 4 years and have only charged it up a half dozen times.

Anyway ... I picked up an Olight Prowess for the possible Soupie replacement.

still fits well in the hand - and it has a mild crenellated bezel in case my damper arm can't swing my 30" breaker bar for friendly traffic disputes =p

i hope to install my bed lights soon, but this could help - lowest setting

derr, realized the next day that this would be a more stable use of it

not much steel to hang the magnet from, but this could help at night while I call AAA =D

comes with a holster and mounting clip

my knees won't hit it since I'm short, I'd need to anchor with more then the double-sided tape - anyone use plastic rivet fastener dealios for mounting to trim?
09.jpg

also comes with magnetic charging base, maybe do this somewhere - magnet strong enough to hold it upside down while city driving - would be nervous about hitting potholes though
10.jpg

that base has a standard 1/4" tripod threading and also has a rubber washer & double-sided tape - the light will also charge with the Olight magnetic connector cord

Turns out that the simplest solution is the best. After lots of thinking of double-backed tape, plastic rivets, and what nots, it turns out that this is a solution that seems to work for me.

I can reach it while driving, I can grab it after opening the door, and my legs don't hit it.

I'm a day late posting this, but I received my new motorcraft front and rear brake pads, and my new transmission pan with drain plug, plus the trans filter. So you can guess my weekend plans. The trans will not be that bad because I have a vacuum pump to suck out most of the fluid befor I drop the oil pan. Also going to drain and fill the t-case, so full day at least Saturday. But I have to take care of my '19 XLT so it will last only at 60,000 but I would like it to go well beyond 200,000, so will do the work.

I received the Readylift intrusion bars I ordered from Readylift. I had the tire/wheel installers at 4WP remove the front bars because they did rub a bit after they installed the Method MR316 wheels and BFG KO2's, 265/70/17. I was able to install the front bars in less than 10mins. per side without removing the wheels. The OEM rear bars did not rub so I left them in.

I'm running the front and backs with my 285/70R17's. No rubbing at all.
