New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

Glad some goobers thought had to justify their existence. New upgrade really suxs. Literally within 30 minutes of driving goes into “battery saver”, no remote option mode. So basically “useless” to use remote features. Use to take minimal of 12 days. Little things as having warranty info, etc. Most info was almost instant before, now gotta hunt for it.

I really like the new Ford Pass. I have had no 'power saving' issues. Not having to hold everything is a nice use of the app.

Even after starting driving, within In moments after turn off, goes into battey saver mode. “No remote” features. Nothing, lock/unlock, remote app start, location only if running nothing since upgrade. At least got key fob still working.

Previous version of FordPass was great. This new version is giving me alerts to "Drive to reconnect to FordPass" and "Vehicle in Battery Saver Mode".
I just got back from a long drive and I checked my battery voltage and it's reading 12.3 volts (which I believe is right where the Ford BMS is designed to keep it). WTH!

Update 6-4-24. Took Scrappy in for oil/filter change and asked dealer to check my battery. Checks good on their analyzer. got "return to service". I was ready to pull the trigger on a new battery. Guess I'll wait and see how it does over the summer. 111 on this Thursday. It'a going to cool off to highs in the low 100's next week. gonna be a long, hot summer here in the desert.

Were you having battery issues before the app update? Did you try the old "remove and reinstall the app" trick?

Two weeks ago there was an icon to go back to the old version.Now there is no icon for that.Hunting for your info is an understatement.No ESP info either.I did add an oil change on Ford.com

Wow! I can still do it...cause I never updated. I add stuff in case of a warranty issue, and tire rotations in case I need the tire warranty (I don't think my Wildpeaks are making it to 55K miles).

I tend not to update non-security/unimportant apps because "performance improvements and bug fixes" is almost always code for "we added ads".
