Blinker Issue

Is anyone else here having any issues with their blinker taking a few seconds to come on after turning it on? It doesn't do it everytime but it's pretty consistent. And to clarify I have topped off the blinker fluid.

Have not heard of this issue but having the correct amount of fluid is a good thing.

I had had an old Jeep that used to sometimes signal the wrong direction when it was supposed to do the three-flash lane-change.... Current cars don't have mechanical flasher mechanisms anymore; rather it's done in software/firmware. Reboot maybe?

Both sides do it and I haven't altered anything.

Hopefully you checked all your bulbs. And I'd recommend changing the blinker fluid as opposed to topping it off. It's only good for 1 million flashes.

OP should do that for sure and then file a complaint with the NHTSA.

Operation:
SCCM - Steering Colum Control Module - Monitors (Switch) position (Turn Signal, Hi-Beam, Flash to Pass)

Sends MSG via HS-Can2 to the GWM (Gateway Module)
GWM sends request over HS-Can1 to the BCM
The BCM provides the (On/Off) voltage for the Turn Signal (Integrated Flasher)

So, it could be a delay from the Can-Bus, Bad switch, bad SCCM or BCM

Does it do the same if you cycle the Hazzard Switch?
This provides a separate way of activation

Does it do the same delay (when you select high-beams or flash to pass)?
If you have the same delay, then it is a possible switch issue.

One common for both sides (Left/Right) is the Ground Point for the lights themselves, I would check this for a good ground and security.
