Synthetic oil filters are usually better/more expensive. Designed to filter smaller particles out.I gotta ask, what difference does the oil make?

People said this about frams when I was getting them for $4 a filter. No issues oil wise for me. Maybe you just got a crappy worker when you ordered them.Don't buy that doz at Amazon... Came in with the box marked 910s the filters/in internal box at 400 and sized at 910s... Labeling is sketchy and they might be shipped from China... I waited more than 6months and couldn't send them back so I'm changing oil at 3k on a fusion hybrid where they seem to be ok... I cross my fingers whenever I'm grab to put one on... Not using on ranger...
Whenever I come across things like that, they never ship from Amazon. Hmmmmmm.Limited edition. Autographed by Ford CEO what’s-his-name. Also, I see things like this where something is way outta whack pricing wise and my brain goes “that’s money laundering”
Sounds like a filter that can be used with any oil.Synthetic oil filters are usually better/more expensive. Designed to filter smaller particles out.
Which begs the question, on a hybrid, the engine actually runs much less than an ICE, right? So that sounds like changing the oil way too soon, no?I'm changing oil at 3k on a fusion hybrid where they seem to be ok... I cross my fingers whenever I'm grab to put one on... Not using on ranger...
Definitely but I do know that filter is not what it claims to be...even if recommended is 7500mi... I choose to be cautious... No harm in doing it sooner...it runs about every 6months between changes... It's mileage or time on oil...Which begs the question, on a hybrid, the engine actually runs much less than an ICE, right? And here I almost feel every 5k on the Ranger is too soon. I am sure I could go further without issue, but I like the nice round interval and it helps keeps a nice rotation schedule on the tires.Definitely but I do know that filter is not what it claims to be...even if recommended is 7500mi... Different media in the filter, regular filter is cellulose which is fine for conventional. Synthetic media for syn and semi syn.I gotta ask, what difference does the oil make?
