Oil life monitor reset

Just had my first oil change…and yep…it’s an early one and yep…AMSOIL!! ?

anyway…they did reset the oil life monitor to 100%, but my app does not reflect such a change. Does it take awhile?

Amsoil OE is API certified. I did provide the oil filter which is the Motorcraft version…910S I think off hand.

did you switch from the factory oil and noticed this or from another high quality synthetic? Just curious.

I had to update the Ford app before the oil monitor would work.

I’ll have to pay more attention. I know that every time my truck would start right up no problem but some mornings there would be a more high pitched sound compared to other mornings.

I’m debating already next oil change to try Royal Purple…watched a FordBossMe video and he said he liked how silent and smooth it made his car sound….plus it’s purple! ?

Do you use OE, Singnature, or XL version? Shop used OE which I think should be just fine since I’m going to change it every 5K anyway.

Just use the OE, and a good filter. I upgrade to the XL if I know I'm going on a long highway trip or something like that, but normally the OE.
