Hey everyone. About a month ago I bought a 2019 ranger from a Ford dealership as is. I didn't discover until I went to car wash at the driver's side floor mat and carpeting was soaked. I tried it all out and was hoping that maybe it was a spill while they were detailing the car.
Once it was fully tried out, I tested the AC to make sure that there was no internal leak of condensation. I saw that the AC was leaking on the outside of the vehicle.
After going to the drive-thru car wash I didn't notice a slight pit-up quarter on floorboard again under the carpet. I tried it out again drove the car for a couple more weeks and we have had no rain either and it stayed dry. We had some rain this weekend and today I discovered the driver side carpet soaked again. I pulled up some of the carpet and tried to do my own water test with a garden hose while my daughter was in the car looking for these. No luck. I'm not sure what to look at next. Any recommendations?
UPDATE: it's the AC dripping into the cabin. I tested it out and pulled up the carpet and watched it running down the side. So frustrating. I saw a video where someone said it's a complicated fix and you have to lower the trans to get to this. Anyone familiar with this? Is there another fix that's not so complicated?
